Overview - ServeRAID M1215 Controller, M1200 and M5200 Upgrade Options for IBM Systems

ServeRAID M-Series family of products offers a complete server storage solution consisting of RAID controllers, cache/flash modules, energy packs, and software feature upgrades in an ultra-flexible offerings structure.

These products are optimized to deliver performance demanded by the ever- growing I/O requirements of today's enterprises. They integrate popular disk media such as SAS and SATA HDDs and emerging solid-state disks into an organization's storage infrastructure.

The portfolio is designed around several base solutions with a set of upgrades that are rich with features, designed to minimize "parts-on-the-floor" upgrades, optimized for storage performance and consistent with existing industry-leading ServeRAID products.

ServeRAID M1215 offers a low-cost RAID 0/1/10 solution that can be upgraded to a cacheless RAID 5 with a Features-on-Demand license upgrade. M1215 provides two (x4) internal mini-SAS HD connectors with eight lanes of 12 Gbps SAS and eight lanes of PCIe 3.0 to facilitate high data transfer rates.

Additionally, clients utilizing current ServeRAID M5210 and M5210e controllers can benefit from a new 4 GB Flash-Backed-Cache-Offload module.

Providing that additional peace of mind, your ServeRAID M-Series portfolio products are covered under IBM warranty. All adapters and upgrade modules carry a 1-year limited warranty or, when installed in a System x server, assume your system's base warranty and any IBM ServicePac upgrade.
