Hardware requirements

A connection to a dedicated channel of an integrated SAS controller or a similar optional SAS host bus adapter that is correctly installed and configured in a host server.

Internal installation in an open 5.25-inch, half-high bay in the following servers is supported.

Note: Tape drive installation into an external enclosure may be required if no 5.25-inch, half-high bay is available.
