Features and specifications

The new Multi-Burner Plus supports all recordable DVD formats endorsed by the DVD Forum and DVD+RW Alliance. You no longer need to choose between formats, and can select the best format for individual tasks. Additional features include:

  • Increased burn speeds compared to the previous offering - burns DVDs at up to 16x(1) (22 MB/sec)(2)
  • Supports writing DVD+R Double Layer media
  • Burns CD-R and CD-RW discs
  • Buffer underrun protection - helps reduce write errors
  • Comprehensive software bundle

(1) When referring to DVD-writing, one x is approximately equal to 1380 KB/s.

(2) CD/DVD drive speeds list maximum rates; rates are variable and are often less than the maximum possible.

1 year Limited – customer carry-in exchange

  • Announce date: 15 February 2005 (Worldwide)
  • Planned availability date: 1 March 2005 (Worldwide)
