The Qlogic 6-port Enterprise Fibre Channel Switch Module is the latest Fibre Channel switching option for the IBM eServer BladeCenter. It integrates an enterprise fabric into the BladeCenter architecture. It provides higher bandwidth connectivity (up to 24Gbps full duplex) between the BladeCenter server blades and storage area networks (SANs) via higher external port count. This expanded connectivity presents a diskless storage opportunity for the server architecture. This SAN fabric switch delivers the advanced functions, performance, manageability, and scalability required by the most demanding SANs.
