Troubleshooting
Problem
The installation of Rational Rose® RealTime 2003.06.13 fails with the below error message: Setup has detected atleast another Rational product with a higher version number. Please use Rational Installed Product information application to find the appropriate version of software.
Cause
This is a defect, the defect number is IC43313
Resolving The Problem
As a workaround use regedit and change the following registry keys:
In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\08CFC2985320116DF8BB000CF427EE08\InstallProperties
\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\DB1C22D1DB516D344952506F69D75120\InstallProperties
\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{1D22C1BD-15BD-43D6-9425-05F6967D1502}

The values for VersionMajor and DisplayVersion are probably set to 5 and 5.0.0.2.
Change the values for VersionMajor and DisplayVersion:
VersionMajor to 1
DisplayVersion to 1.0.0.2
