The IBM Tape Enablement Kit offers an excellent method of installing DDS tape drives internally to selected IBM eServer xSeries servers.

Each drive is contained in a 3.5-inch, 1-inch high, slim-line form factor that allows maximum installations in supported IBM eServer xSeries systems. They are engineered to support the entry level enterprise server applications.

Simple-swap versions of this SATA HDD option contains a new carrier assembly designed to support the serial mode. This HDD option is only supported on the systems listed in the compatibility listing.
