General information
The NetMEDIA Storage Expansion Unit EL is an Extended length (EL), rack or stack (Netfinity Rack or NetBAY solutions) mountable unit designed to let you install a variety of SCSI storage devices, primarily DLT or 8-mm tape drives. The NetMEDIA unit provides a method for installing tape drives in the new Netfinity 7000 M10 Enterprise server.

The NetMEDIA Storage Expansion Unit EL lets you maximize the storage capacity of your system. Features include:

• Two 5.25-inch full-high extended length bays
• Suitable for two full-high devices or four half-high devices
• Two independent power supplies
• External .8 mm VHDCI connector
• Internal Single-Ended Fast Wide SCSI-2 operation
• Support for both Single-Ended SCSI or Low Voltage Differential SCSI controllers
• Upgradeable to dual independent SCSI channels with optional adapter card
• Support for tape array or mirroring with optional adapter card
• Support Advanced System Management functions with optional adapter card
• Three-year limited warranty
