Product Documentation

Abstract

Features and technical details of the Netfinity 18.2 GB 15K RPM Ultra 160 SCSI Hot-Swap Hard Disk Drive

Content

Overview
Take advantage of the latest SCSI hard disk technology. Install incredibly fast, advanced technology 9.1GB(1) or 18.2GB slim-high 15,000-rpm,Ultra 160 SCSI hard disk drives (HDDs) in your Netfinity server or EXP storage unit.

These 3.5-inch, slim-high, hot-swap HDD options expand Netfinity storage solutions for those who need very high-speed data storage for demanding enterprise server applications. Advancements in platter and actuator design allow breakthrough rotational speeds with minimal effect on power consumption or cooling. Each drive assembly is pre-mounted on a "converged" hot-swap tray, common to most Netfinity servers and Netfinity EXP storage units. Deploy Netfinity servers using the latest SCSI HDD technology to significantly improve performance of your storage subsystems.

Highest performing Netfinity HDDs maximizes storage subsystem performance
15,000 rpm HDDs use advanced drive technology -- delivers solid reliability and incredible performance
Ultra160 SCSI interface -- maximum bandwidth for streaming data transfers
Converged hot-swap drive tray -- supports most Netfinity servers and EXP storage units
Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) can alert you of a problem before it occurs
Pre-mounted on hot-swap trays -- added convenience and improved reliability
Rigorously tested in heavy network simulation test suites
