General information
IBM offers price reductions on one of it's most popular tape backup products, the IBM 10/20GB NS Internal SCSI Tape Drive. Considered to be among the preferred backup technologies in the NT space, this drive is now an even better value to help customers protect valuable data and keep their businesses up and running.

Hardware requirements for non-IBM systems
The 10/20GB NS Internal SCSI Tape Drive is a basic SCSI device that should work in any industry standard PC Server or desktop system with an available 3.5-inch, 1-inch, or 5.25-inch HH bay, and a supported SCSI Host adapter. However, IBM has qualified the NS 10/20GB Tape Drive only for the IBM PC Server and Netfinity systems listed above.
Software requirements
The 10/20GB NS Internal SCSI Tape Drive ships with trial versions of popular backup/restore application CDs, supporting Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, NetWare 4.x and NetWare 5.x. Customers can install this trial software on a 'try and buy' basis, or use their own software. All supported hardware and software configurations can be viewed at the IBM ServerProven Web site at http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/serverproven/compat/us/ .
