Memory VRM (20 Amp) removal
To remove the Memory VRM (20 Amp), follow these steps:
- Remove the service access cover.
- Disconnect the power source from the system by unplugging the system.

Remove the memory riser from the system:
- Pull the locking tabs into the open position.
- Lift the memory riser out of the system.
- Locate the memory voltage regulator module to be removed from the system processor assembly.
- Press the blue button to identify the failed voltage regulator module.

Remove the memory voltage regulator module from the connectors.
- Grasp the top edges of the memory voltage regulator module to loosen them from the connectors.
- Place your thumb under the bottom edge of the voltage regulator module and lift it to remove the module from the connectors.
- Place the voltage regulator module on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) surface.
