Full high short PCI card installation
To install the PCI adapter, follow these steps:
- If necessary, remove the adapter expansion slot filler.
- If the target slot's adapter latch is not already in the open position, pull the latch into the open position by pressing down on it from its clip on the back of the system.
- Carefully grasp the new adapter by its tailstock, and align the adapter with the expansion slot and its connector on the system backplane.
- Press the adapter firmly into its connector.
- Pull the adapter latch back into place.
- If your system has an expansion riser, you can press the low profile PCI adapter into its slot by guiding it into position by its tailstock and then pressing the adapter into its slot.
- Connect the adapter cables.
- Route the cables through the cable-management arm.
- Replace the service access cover.
- Reconnect the power source.
