Front fan removal
To remove the front fan, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the power source from the system by unplugging the system.
- Remove the front cover.
- Loosen the two retaining thumbscrews at the top of the fan cage and tilt the fan cage forward.
- Locate the failing system fan to be replaced. It is the fan indicated by the amber fault LED being lit.
- Remove the failing fan by pulling the fan out of the fan cage.
