Text from the audio portion of the battery removal movie

 

To remove the Battery:

  1. Remove the Top Cover:

    1. Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.

    2. Press the button and lift the cover-release latch. The cover will move to the rear approximately one half inch.Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.

  2. Remove the Battery:

    1. Lift the battery out of its housing.
