Text from the audio portion of the hot-swap hard drive removal movie
To remove the hot-swap hard drive:
- Press up on the release latch at the top of the drive and then rotate the handle down to the open position.
- Pull the drive assembly out of the bay approximately one inch, wait 45 seconds for the drive to spin down, and then remove the drive from the bay.
Use the same procedure to remove any additional drives if required.
Note: To maintain proper cooling do not operate the server for more than 10 minutes without a drive or a filler panel installed in each bay.
