Abstract
Drive from bay 1, 2 or 3 installation movie for the IBM System x3500.
Content
To install a Drive in bay 1, 2 or 3:
- Position the rails on the side of the drive, using the holes for alignment. Press the spring retainer to secure.
- Slide the drive into the bay until secured by the latches.
- Connect the drive signal and power cables.
Install the Bezel:
- Insert the hinge tabs on the right side of the bezel into the slots on the server chassis; then, rotate the bezel until secured by the three latches.

Install the Left-side cover:
- Position the channel on the cover over the rail on the bottom edge of the chassis.
- Rotate the cover closed, ensuring the latch secures it in place.
- Lock the side cover, if required.
