Abstract
IBM System x3550 (Type 1013, 1913, 7978) - Riser Card Assembly removal movie
Content
To remove the Riser Card Assembly:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the Top Cover:
- Slide the cover release latches and rotate the Fan Door open.
- Loosen the captive screw on the rear of the chassis.
- Slide the cover towards the rear of the server approximately one half inch and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Remove the Riser Card Assembly:
- Lift the Riser Card Assembly straight up and out of the socket and place it on an ESD protected surface..
Note: Use the same procedure to remove Riser Card 2 if required.
