IBM System x3850 M2 (7141, 7144), x3950 M2 (7141) - Fan cage installation movie
Content
To install the Fan cage:
- Open the cage handles, and position the alignment pins over the matching slots on the chassis.
- Press the cage into place, and rotate the handles to the closed position to secure the shuttle.
Close the Media hood:
- Close the media hood and tighten the captive screws.
Install the Bezel:
- Press in on the bezel retention tabs at the sides of the bezel, and pull the bezel from the server.
Install the Top cover:
- Position the cover on top of the server so that the tabs on the cover align with the slots on the chassis.
- Make sure that the cover-release latch is up.
- Slide the top cover forward while pressing the release latch.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
