Abstract
IBM System x3850 M2 (7141, 7144), x3950 M2 (7141) Operator Information Panel Assembly removal movie
Content
To remove the Operator Information Panel Assembly:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
- Lift the cover-release latch.
- Slide the cover towards the rear of the server approximately one half inch and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Remove the Bezel:
- Press in on the bezel retention tabs at the sides of the bezel, and pull the bezel from the server.
Remove the Operator Information Panel Assembly:
- Disconnect the operator information panel ribbon cable from the I/O board.
- Open the spring clip and lift the ribbon cable from the channel.
- Press the blue release button above the assembly and pull it out of the server.
- Disconnect the ribbon cable from the Panel Assembly.
