To remove an I/O fan and bracket:
- Slide the latch to the open position and rotate the cover open.
- Disconnect the power connector for the desired fan from the power distribution board.
- Grasp the airflow indicator label and pull the fan straight up and out of the bracket.
- Use the same procedure to remove all the fans.
There are two fan brackets:
- To remove the right fan bracket, remove the two screws, then lift the fan bracket out of the system.
- To remove the left fan bracket, slide the bracket to the right to release the latching tabs, then lift the bracket out of the system and disconnect the cable.
