To remove the diskette drive from media bay 3 or 4: :

1. Remove the front door: Open the door and pull the door away from the system to release the door pins from the hinge latches.
2. Turn off the server and all attached peripheral devices.
3. Disconnect all power cords and all external signal cables.
4. For easier access to components, place the server on its side. This is the recommended service position.
5. Remove the side cover.
   1. Pull the cover release latch away from the server and slide the cover towards the rear of the server.
   2. Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
6. Remove the bezel.
   1. Press the bezel release lever toward the front of the server.
   2. Pull the top of the bezel away from the server and slide it towards the bottom of the server to remove it. Here is a closer look at the bezel release lever.
   3. Disconnect the power cable and the signal cable from the diskette drive.
7. If required, the EMC shield can be removed or added to a bay by releasing the latch and lifting it out from the bay, or place it in the bay until secured by the latches.
8. Press the release button on the diskette drive and slide the drive out of the bay.
