Procedures for removing the fan from the eServer 325.

To remove the cover:
- Turn off the server and all attached peripheral devices. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all external signal cables from the server.
- Remove the server from the rack. Then, lift the cover release latch; slide the cover to the rear, lift up the front of the cover, and then lift off the cover.
- etermine which fan to replace by checking the LED at each fan connector; a lit LED indicates the fan to replace.
Note that fan LEDs 3, 4, and 5 are located on the edge of the system board and should not be confused with DIMM LEDs 5 and 6, which are located towards the middle of the system board.
To remove fan 1:
Disconnect the fan cable from the system board, release the latching tabs securing the fan, and carefully lift the fan and cable out of the bracket.
To remove fan 2, 3, 4, or 5:
Disconnect the fan cable from the system board and carefully lift the fan and cable out of the server.
NOTE: Fan 4 must be removed when replacing fan 3. Fans 2, 4, and 5 may be removed individually.
