Text from the audio portion of the CD-ROM drive removal movie
To remove the CD-ROM drive assembly:
- Disconnect the secondary IDE cable and the power cable
- Loosen the thumbscrew and slide the drive out the back
To remove the drive from the assembly:
- Push down the release tab on the assembly
- Spread the sides
- Slide the drive out of the assembly
To remove the interposer card:
- Remove the two screws
- Lift the card off the drive
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
