Text from the audio portion of the hot-swap hard disk drive removal and installation movie
To remove a hot-swap hard disk drive:
- Release the latch, and rotate the drive tray handle to the open position.
- Wait approximately 30 seconds for the drive to spin down.
- Then pull the drive from the bay.
To remove a blank:
- Insert your finger in the groove, and slide the bezel out the front of the machine.
To replace a hot-swap hard disk drive:
- Ensure that the drive tray handle is open.
- Push the drive into the bay until it connects to the backplane.
- Then rotate the handle to the closed position.
