Text description of hard disk drive removal and installation
To remove a hot-swap hard disk drive:
- Release the latch and rotate the drive tray handle to the open position.
- Wait approximately 30 seconds for the drive to spin down.
- Then pull the drive from the bay.
- To remove a blank:
- Slide the blank out the front of the machine.
To replace a hot-swap hard disk drive:
- Ensure that the drive tray handle is in the open position.
- Push the drive into the bay until it connects to the backplane.
- Then rotate the handle down until it latches.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
