Text description of hard disk drive removal and installation
To remove a hot-swap hard disk drive:
- Rotate the drive tray handle to the open position, and wait approximately 30 seconds for the drive to spin down.
- Then pull the drive from the bay.
To replace a hot-swap hard disk drive:
- Ensure that the drive tray handle is in the open position Align the drive tray assembly so that it engages the guide rails in the bay.
- Gently push the assembly into the bay until the drive connects to the backplane.
- Rotate the drive tray handle to the closed position.
Note: Remove the filler plate when installing a hot-swap drive. - Install a blank bezel when a drive is not installed.
