Abstract
This document contains information on removing the rear fan from the xSeries 200

| Removing the rear fan |

- Power-off the server.
- Disconnect the server from the power supply.
- Remove the cover.
- Remove the support bracket.
- Remove the fan cable from the system board.
- Use side cutters to sever the four rubber extensions on the outside of the server.
- Gently pry the fan away from the server and lift it up and out.
- To install the new fan assembly, place the fan in position at the rear of the server.
- Guide the rubber extensions through the apertures.
- Use needle-nosed pliers to pull the extensions through the apertures.
- Reconnect cables.
