Error decrypting custom SSL Key

Troubleshooting


Problem

After enabling SSL between a Fault Tolerant Agent (FTA), and Domain Manager (DM), using a custom key and certificate, the agent is not linking successfully.

 

Symptom

The agent fails to link, and the following errors are found in the current IWShome/trace/YYYYMMDD_TWSMERGE log:

13:04:49 08.11.2018|MDM:WRITER:* ERROR:SSL_ctx_init, SSL_CTX_use_PrivateKey_file error: error:06065064:digital envelope routines:EVP_DecryptFinal_ex: bad decrypt

13:04:49 08.11.2018|MDM:WRITER:* ERROR:ipc_get_connection, authentication fails: AWSDEB045E An error has occurred during the creation of the local SS L context. The following gives more details of the error: error:06065064:digital envelope routines:EVP_DecryptFinal_ex:bad decrypt.
