How do you upgrade the Passive Capture Application (PCA) when the rpm -Uvh command fails to upgrade the software?
Answer
- Log in as root using telnet.
- Stop the Tealeaf processes using: tealeaf stop all
- Backup the: /usr/local/ctccap/etc folder.
- Backup all your ptl files. Check their path by using the SSL Keys --> Loaded screen in the PCA web UI.
- Uninstall the current Passive Capture RPM using:?? rpm -e tealeaf-pca-<BUILD>-1.<DIST>.<ARCH>.rpm
- Rename the /usr/local/ctccap folder to /usr/local/ctccap.old.
- Install the new Passive Capture RPM using:?? rpm -ivh tealeaf-pca-<BUILD>-1.<DIST>.<ARCH>.rpm
- Restore the following files:?
- ctc-conf.xml
- privacy.cfg
- privacy-defaults.cfg
- All your PTL keys in their original location.
Start the Tealeaf processes using the command:??tealeaf start all
