(Legacy Interface): Does the authentication key (authKey parameter) used by the DDX API have an expiration date?

Question & Answer

Question

(Legacy Interface): Does the authentication key (authKey parameter) used by the DDX API have an expiration date?

Answer

In the IBM Digital Analytics Digital Data Exchange (DDX) API, please be advised that the authKey parameter does not have an expiration date. However, the authkey is linked with the user account which was used when generating that API URL. Thus, if that user account gets deleted, please be advised that the feed will no longer be accessible.

If you are planning to use DDX API feeds, please be advised that you could create a separate appropriately named user account in IBM Digital Analytics just for DDX API (e.g. with username 'DDX_API_FEED') and use that user account to create your DDX API feeds.
