Problem(Abstract)

SCM Installation issue: Database connection failed code page 850 is not supported by the Java environment

Symptom

Setting:??Installing SCM on Windows 2003 server with MSSQL 2005 SP2 database where the database is located on another server location?

Multiple versions of Java Development Kit?(JDK)?are installed on the same Windows 2003 Server that includes the required JDK version for installing SCM.

Error Message

Database connection failed code page 850 is not supported by the Java environment


Resolving the problem

1.? Uninstall the older version of JDK that are not in use.

2.? Make sure database server?setup?has met system requirement per SI and SCM documentation.? (See System Requirements Preinstallation setup and Installation Guide)
