Question
How do I install WebSphere Commerce V7.0 in 64-bit application? Where do I download the 64-bit version of WebSphere Commerce V7.0?
Cause
WebSphere Commerce V7.0 installation media is available only in 32-bit installation form. 64-bit support for WebSphere Commerce V7.0 was not introduced until Fix Pack 1 (V7.0.0.1).
If you attempt to start Configuration Manager or create an instance with the config_ant script with a 64-bit JVM while on WebSphere Commerce V7.0 you will receive the following message:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: ic_jni64 (Not found in java.library.path)
Answer
Fix Pack 1 (V7.0.0.1) and later offer the necessary library (ic_jni64) to run in a 64-bit JVM.
There is no single package for 64-bit version of Websphere Commerce V7.0. You need to install WebSphere Commerce V7.0 as a 32-bit application. After you install WebSphere Commerce V7.0 you can then upgrade WebSphere Commerce to Fix Pack 1 (V7.0.0.1) or a later Fix Pack level. After upgrading you can invoke Configuration Manager to create instances that would run on the WebSphere Application Server V7.0 64-bit JVM environment.
