Overview of the Sterling Supply Chain Visibility Solution
Sterling Supply Chain Visibility isan application that provides a complete supply chain visibility solution.It alerts you on the occurrence of events that disrupt informationand material flow in the supply chain.
Sterling Supply Chain Visibility providesthe following solutions to the supply chain challenges:
- Dashboards: Sterling Supply Chain Visibility enablesyou to view a comprehensive Dashboard as soon as you log into theapplication. The Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of alertsinvoices shipments KPI charts and orders. You can configure theDashboard to view any of the following panels:
- Alert Summary
- Alert Chart
- Order List
- Shipment List
- Invoice List
- KPI chart
The Dashboard provides an updated snapshot of thoseaspects of the supply chain that are most pertinent to your company.They can be used to analyze data and generate recommendations thatdrive strategy. The Dashboard displays the buyer view seller viewor both depending upon the role of the user.
- Visibility: Sterling Supply Chain Visibility providesa set of views to look up the status of an order shipment invoiceand payment. This application provides a one-place-visibility to allrelevant details of that order shipment or invoice.
- Sterling VendorCompliance for Supply Chain Visibility : Sterling Supply Chain Visibility providesa functionality that allows buyers to set up and enforce compliancerules for suppliers. For example shipment date or shipment quantitycan be configured with compliance rules with regard to late shipmentsor inaccurate quantities shipped. When tolerances of the compliancerules are exceeded the condition is detected and both buyer and supplierare notified. You can set up compliance tolerances financial penaltiesfor violation of compliance rules (called chargebacks) and othercriteria.
- Inbound Supply Monitoring: Sterling Supply Chain Visibility generatesalerts when unplanned events occur. For example when the buyer placesan order the supplier can reject the order if the order cannot befulfilled and the PO Rejected by Supplier alert is raised. You canresolve these alerts to remove bottlenecks and smoothen the supplychain process.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Reports: Sterling Supply Chain Visibility enablesbuyers to generate KPIs and reports to analyze and compare supplierperformance. Suppliers can use these to evaluate their own performancewith respect to various customers. For example you can measure theperformance of a supplier by viewing the metric for that supplierover a specified period of time.
