The Sterling VendorCompliance for Supply Chain Visibility optionalmodule allows buyers to set up and enforce compliance rules with suppliers.For example shipment date or shipment quantity can be configuredwith compliance rules with regard to late shipments or inaccuratequantities shipped. When tolerances of the compliance rules are exceededthe condition is detected and both buyer and supplier are notified.Buyers are notified through the Sterling Supply Chain Visibility userinterface and suppliers can be notified through the Sterling Supplier Portal partneruser interface.

The Sterling Supply Chain Visibility buyeradministrator can set up compliance tolerances financial penaltiesfor violation of compliance rules (called chargebacks) view or modifychargeback reason codes control the export of chargeback detailsand other criteria. When a supplier non-compliance event occurs Sterling Supply Chain Visibility facilitatesa process that brings a resolution within a predefined time framecalled the mediation period or dispute period. During this mediationperiod buyers can modify or cancel chargebacks if a disparity israised by suppliers such that a mutual agreement is reached. At theconclusion of this period Sterling Supply Chain Visibility canroute a finalized chargeback document to your ERP system.

A document sent from your ERP system to Sterling Supply Chain Visibility mayalso trigger a non-compliance event. A non-compliance event may alsobe triggered by an external application. Sterling Supply Chain Visibility acceptsand processes the externally triggered events.

You as a buyer administrator or an SRO can view the monthly summaryof chargebacks against all suppliers a supplier group or individualsuppliers.

Note: The standard implementation for the Sterling VendorCompliance for Supply Chain Visibility optionalmodule requires you to subscribe to both Sterling Supply Chain Visibility and Sterling Supplier Portal. In additionthe Sterling VendorCompliance for Supply Chain Visibility optionalmodule must be subscribed to separately as it is not part of thebasic Sterling Supply Chain Visibility service.

Buyerscan use the Sterling VendorCompliance for Supply Chain Visibility optionalmodule with suppliers that are not EDI enabled through Sterling Supplier Portal. Buyerscan also use the Sterling VendorCompliance for Supply Chain Visibility optionalmodule with EDI enabled suppliers directly through Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork.
