The Sterling Configure Price Quote on Cloud functionalityenables users to quickly configure price and quote the right productsand services through the IBM? SterlingField Sales module. The Sterling Field Sales applicationenables users to manage opportunities and quotes effectively whichhelps users close business deals more efficiently. In Sterling Field Sales you canstore all the information you require during the quoting processincluding customer details information about products and the adjustmentmade to the price of products and the payment terms and shipmentterms that will be used in the order if the quote is converted toan order. In addition to opportunity and quote management Sterling Field Sales enables youto search for a product opportunity or quote. You can search fora product and view the details of the product. You can also searchfor an opportunity or quote and view its details.

Opportunity management involves the creation and management ofan opportunity and its associated quotes through the life cycle ofthe opportunity until the opportunity is either won or lost. Quotemanagement involves the management of quotes that are associated withan opportunity. In the system an opportunity acts as a containerfor holding a quote or related alternative quotes that are to be presentedto a customer. A quote on the other hand is a commercial documentthat allows a customer to see a predetermined set of products theirquantity predetermined price and delivery date.
Note: A quote isalways associated with an opportunity.

  • Direct connection to Sterling Field Sales through IBM SterlingCustomer Center.
