Customer types
Customer types categorize customers. For example a residentialcustomer or a corporate customer.
The customer types comma-separated value file definesthe customer types to be used by IBM? Work Optimization for Water Utilities. The file mustbe named cust_type.csv.
Each line in theCSV file needs to be in the following format:
Customer_typeDescription
Where:
- Customer_type is a short form for a definedcustomer type. Customer_type can be up to 20 charactersin length.
- Description is a description of the definedcustomer type. Description can be up to 80 charactersin length.
If a value contains non-alphanumeric charactersfor example spaces or symbols the value must be enclosed in quotationmarks. Otherwise surrounding values with quotation marks is optional.Values cannot include double or single quotation marks. All valuesmust be separated by commas.
Thefollowing customer types are defined as samples in IBM Work Optimization for Water Utilities:

These values can be customized two ways:
- When IBM Work Optimization for Water Utilities isinitially installed all sample values can be replaced with valuesmatching the input that will be used in the production system.
- If additional values are required these values can be added.
