Sync Requirements
For synchronous access to Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork you must:
- Use a modem supporting a line speed between 9600 and 28800 bps. Contact Customer Support for availability in your location.
- Use the ASCII code set.
- Use equipment certified by WorldCom as X.25 compatible.
- Use CCITT X.25 recommendations to provide error-detection throughout the session.
- Use the following character sequences to terminate communications records and files sent to and received from Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork:
Terminator Value ASCII Hex Value Record <cr> 0D File <cr><eot> 0D04 - Support multiple send/receive steps in a single session.
- Monitor and react to the loss of Data Set Ready (DSR) to detect line failure.
- Send one of the following record formats:
- One segment per variable-length record
- Wrapped data (carriage returns sent after a fixed number of characters)
- Wait 45 seconds for Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork to respond. If Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork does not respond within 45 seconds hang up and restart.
- Hang up when the session is completed.
