Display of Master and Alias Locations
Sterling TMS usesthe following process to convert alias locations to the master locationon orders and shipments:
- You can submit orders and shipments online or through data exchange.You can specify a master or alias location as the origin or destination.
- If you specify an alias location Sterling TMS converts itand displays the master location on the Orders tabor Shipments tab.
- If you edit an existing order or shipment (or send in an EDI update) Sterling TMS converts anyalias locations to the master location.
- If you consolidate optimize or route orders through a pool point Sterling TMS converts anyalias locations to the master location.
- To search for locations in Execution you must specify the masterlocation.
