The Accrual Triggers tab of theFreight Payment Terms page shows freight payment triggers for youraccrual invoices. This tab shows which pickup and delivery statusupdates cause Sterling TMS togenerate an accrual invoice.

The Accrual Triggers tabdisplays the following information:

Use Accrual Freight Terms

If UseAccrual Freight Terms is set to Yesyour organization uses Sterling TMS to generateaccrual invoice charges.

Send Invoice When Covered

Shows whether Sterling TMS automaticallygenerates accrual invoice charges when the Plan Status ofthe shipment is set to Covered.

Send Base Rate If No Linehaul Exists

Shows whether the base rate summary is sent as the accrualfor a shipment that is missing the linehaul rate at the time the shipmentwas covered.

Do Not Send Accruals After Voucher

Shows whether accruals and the sending of accrual invoicesare disabled after a voucher is generated.

Status Updates

If the Status Updates check box is selected Sterling TMS generatesthe accrual invoice charges based on shipment status updates. Yourcarriers submit the status updates to Sterling TMS. Your shipper administratordefined the freight payment triggers based on the shipment pickupstatus delivery status or both.

Pickup Statuses

Shows FirstStop or All Stops for the followingpickup status entries:

• Arrive at Pickup
• Departed Pickup
• Loaded
• Pickup Appointments

Delivery Statuses

Shows LastStop or All Stops for the followingdelivery status entries:

• Arrived at Delivery
• Departed Delivery
• Unloaded
• Delivery Appointments
  Note: Sterling TMS generatesaccrual charges each time a freight payment trigger is satisfied.The approach for accrual triggers differs from a freight payment voucherin that all the voucher triggers must be satisfied before Sterling TMS generatesa voucher.
