About Shipping Manifests

Shippers can use the Execution module to manage the manifest fora shipment. The manifest provides details about the items in eachorder including the weight volume and quantity. You can also specifythe length width and height of each item and other attributes suchas the product family or commodity code.

You can create a manifest for each order in Sterling TMS. A manifestfor an order contains the following data:

  • Three pallets weigh a total of 2500 pounds and occupy 25 cubicfeet.
  • Two cases weigh a total of 100 pounds and occupy 3 cubic feet.
ItemsEach shipping unit consists of one or more items. Each item can have a different Shopkeeping Unit (SKU) number freightclass and other attributes.

  • One pallet contains 50 cartons. The items are SKU 6789 and FreightClass 92.5.
