Sterling TMS shippersidentify which carriers they do business with. These carriers canthen be configured to use Sterling TMS. Carrierscan use the following modules:
- Execution
Carriers can use Execution to manage the entire shipping workflow:
- Managing and accepting shipment tenders.
- Submitting shipment status current position and ETA updates.
- Track and trace for customer service users.
- Freight Payment
Carriers can use the Freight Payment tabin Execution to manage the payment process for their transportationcosts.
- Contract Management
Carriers can use the following Contract Management features:
- View all the contracts and accessorial charges your shippers havedefined for your organization.
- Shippers and carriers can use the Sterling TMS proposal processto submit counter and approve contract changes.
- Dock Scheduling
Shippers can authorize their carriers to use the Dock Schedulingmodule which allows a carrier to efficiently manage pickup and deliveryappointments at the shipper's facilities.
- Dedicated Fleet Management
Shippers can authorize their carriers to use the DedicatedFleet capabilities of Sterling TMS.
- Alerts
Carriers can use Sterling TMS to track theentire shipping planning delivery and payment cycle and notify themof exceptions to the plan.
- Reporting
Carriers can run standard reports which are available in theBusiness Objects reporting portal.
- Carrier Mobile
The Sterling TMS Carrier Mobile applicationallows carriers to respond to shipment tender requests and providereal-time status updates to shippers from their mobile digital device.Carrier Mobile is supported on the Apple iPhone.
