Searching for Cities With Diacritic Marks
Sterling TMS users can easily search for a city name thatcontains a hyphen apostrophe or a diacritic mark (such as an accentor tilde character).
Procedure
- When you type in the city name simply type the letterwhere the apostrophe or diacritic mark would appear. Type a spacewhere a hyphen would appear.
- The search will return the cities that match the searchcriteria including the names with the special character.
Example
The following examples show how you can search using diacriticmarks.
- You can search for Chalons sur Marne and Sterling TMS will returnChalons-sur-Marne France.
- You can search for St. Johns (without the apostrophe) and SterlingTMS will return St. John's Newfoundland.
- You can search for Koln and Sterling TMS will returnK?ln Germany.
- You can search for Saint Remy (without the hyphen or the accent)and Sterling TMS willreturn Saint-R?my-de-Provence France.
