Sterling TMS usesthe standard currency formats provided by the International Componentsfor Unicode (ICU) libraries. The display of charges is controlledby the user's locale and preferred currency. The locale and currencysettings affect the following entries:
- Currency Symbol
The currency symbol can be displayed before or after the charge.
Forexample:
- The dollar sign is displayed before the charge for U.S. Dollarsand Mexican Pesos ($1450.00)
- The dollar sign is displayed after the charge for Canadian dollarswhen viewed in the French locale (1 45000$).
- Decimal Symbol
The decimal symbol can be a period or comma.
For example:
- The decimal symbol is a period for U.S. Dollars and Mexican Pesos($1450.00)
- The decimal symbol is a comma for Canadian dollars when viewedin the French locale (1 45000$).
- Thousands Separator
The thousands separator can be a comma or a space.
Forexample:
- The thousands separator is a comma for U.S Dollars and MexicanPesos ($1450.00).
- The thousands separator is a space for Canadian dollars when viewedin the French locale (1 45000$).
Sterling TMS willalso display a two-character ISO-3166 country code for charges thatuse a different currency than the user's locale.
For example:
- A U.S. user will see U.S. charges displayed as $1450.00 andCanadian charges as CA$1740.00.
- A Canadian user will see U.S. charges displayed as 145000 $US and Canadian charges as 1 74000$.
