Shipments Table on the Tracking Tab

By default the Shipments table of the Tracking tabdisplays the following columns:

Alert

Displays the Alert Alert icon if there is an alert attached to thisshipment.

Note

Shows whether there is a note attached to the shipment or theorders in the shipment:

  • Sterling TMS displaysthe Note Note icon if a note is assigned to the shipment.
  • Sterling TMS displaysa check mark if there are notes assigned to the orders that are inthe shipment.
SID Number

Shows the shipment identifier (SID) number.

Orders

Shows the order number assigned to the freight.

Multiple isdisplayed if a shipment contains more than one order.

Origin

Shows the location where the shipment is being picked up.

Origin City State and Postal

These three columns list the city state or province and postalcode for the origin.

Destination

Shows the location where the shipment is being delivered.

Destination City State and Postal

These three columns list the city state or province and postalcode for the destination.

Available Date

Shows the date the shipment is available for pickup. Some shipperssubmit the available date as part of their demand planning process.

Youcan specify this date in an XML or EDI transaction. You cannot enterthis field online using Sterling TMS.

Mode

Shows the transportation mode such as Truckload or LTL.

Shipper

Shows the shipper organization that created the shipment.

Carrier

Shows the name of the carrier assigned to the shipment.

SCAC

Shows the carrier SCAC assigned to the shipment.

TheSCAC can be either the legal SCAC for the carrier or the SCAC fora specific fleet.ok

Carrier Ref./Conf. Number

Shows the reference number or confirmation number suppliedby the carrier.

For example the carrier might submit a PROnumber.

Equipment

Shows the equipment the shipper requested for the shipment.

Description

If a shipment or order contains one item Sterling TMS lists theitem description.

If the shipment or order contains multipleitems Sterling TMS displaysthe first item description followed by the + sign.

Tour CMN

Shows the tour identifier or continuous move number (CMN) ifone is assigned to the shipment.

Plan Status

Displays the status of the shipment in the tendering process.For example you can see whether the Plan Status is Unplanned Tenderedor Covered.

Planned Departure

Shows the starting date and time of the planned departure window.

Ifthe shipment contains multiple orders this is the planned departureof the first order.

Planned Arrival

Shows the starting date and time of the planned arrival window.

Ifthe shipment contains multiple orders this is the planned arrivalof the final order.

Unload Date

Shows the date and time the shipment was unloaded at the finaldestination.

Calc ETA

Shows the ETA that Sterling TMS calculatedfor the shipment.

This system-generated ETA is different fromthe ETA that the carrier provides which appears in the ETA columnof the Stops table.

Service Type

Shows the service type which controls how quickly the shipmentis delivered.

For example:

  • Truckload shipments can use a single driver or a team of drivers.
  • LTL shipments can use normal or expedited service.
  • Parcel shipments use the services from specific carriers suchas UPS or Federal Express.

To add or remove columns or change the column orderclick Customize Table.
