What constitutes a direct load?

IBM Digital Analytics?considers a session a direct load if it meets one of the three following criteria:
1)A session that is started by typing the URL into the web browser.
2)The session is started by clicking on a "bookmark" URL saved in the browser.
3)The first tag is thrown in the session did not contain a referral URL.
