PH04606 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:

Installation of WebSphere Plugin 8.5.5.14 (com.ibm.websphere.PLG.v85_8.5.5014.20180802_1018) to WebSphere Plugin 8.5.5.11 and higher and fix PI96287 fails with CRIMA1076E ERROR: Error during "post-install configure" phase: CRIMA1076E

ERROR:

Error executing the /opt/IBM/WAS/wasadmin1/app/WebSphere/Plugins/bin/sdk/_setupDefau ltSDK.sh command: status=1. For more information, see the agent log file. The agent log file shows: COMMAND_DEFAULT_SDK=1.6_64 WAS855_PROFILE/bin/sdk/_setupSdk.sh: line 36: /opt/IBM/WAS/wasadmin1/app/WebSphere/AppServer/bin/sdk/_setupsdk 1.8_64_bundled.sh: No such file or directory Failed to run: WAS855PLUGIN_HOME/bin/sdk/../../bin/managesdk.sh -setCommandDefault -sdkName 1.8_64_bundled

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Update WebSphere Application Server which is installed with WASBundledSDK8 Fix to WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.14 fails

RECOMMENDATION:

None

Install WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.11 with embedded Java 6 and WASBundledSDK8 Interim Fix PI96287. After update it to 8.5.5.14, the embedded Java 6 is not switched to embedded Java 8.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:

The fix is to update sdk selector bundle to force embedded Java 8 to be installed. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.15. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
