How to Set up HTTPS Certificate on IBM Storage Protect Plus (SPP) with Microsoft certificate authority

How To

Summary

Summary: This article describes how to set up your SPP server to accept secure connections through HTTPS with a Microsoft certificate authority Server.
SSL authentication keeps your connection secure and protects sensitive information as it travels within your network.

• SSL Certificates are used to keep sensitive information sent across the internet encrypted so that only the intended recipient can access it.
• SSL Certificates provide authentication, so you can be sure that you are sending information to the right server and not an impostor trying to steal your information.
• SSL Certificates provide trust. Web browsers give visual cues, such as a lock icon or a green bar which means the site is who they are and trusted.
