Increasing the number of report results for Report Builder in Jazz Reporting Service when you get "The report results exceeded the limit.."

Troubleshooting


Problem

Attempts to generate a report with many results return a limited set of results and the warning: The report results exceeded the limit of 3000 in Report Builder for Jazz Reporting Service (JRS).

Symptom

When you generate the results, you notice that you do not get all results. Also, there is a yellow warning triangle. When you hover over the triangle, you see the following warning:

The report results exceeded the limit of 3000. Contact your system administrator to adjust this limit.

The report results exceeded the limit of 3000.

When you filter on these results you will get:

The maximum number of query results is set to 3000. To stay below this limit, change your report filters or conditions, or ask your administrator to raise the query results limit.
