CVEID: CVE-2026-6368
DESCRIPTION: Calling wordexp with WRDE_APPEND in the GNU C Library version 2.0 to version 2.43 can cause the interface to return invalid memory in the we_wordv member, which on subsequent calls to wordfree may abort the process.

CVEID: CVE-2026-6791
DESCRIPTION: When expanding paths that begin with a tilde (~) followed by a username, the internal parse_tilde function extracts the username to determine the user's home directory. The implementation allocates memory for this username directly on the stack using the strndupa macro. Because the size of this allocation was determined by the length of the user-supplied input without any bounds checks, passing an excessively long username e.g. thousands of characters, forces the thread to exhaust its stack space. Thus if an application passes untrusted, attacker-controlled input to the wordexp function, an attacker can trigger a stack clash.

CVEID: CVE-2026-50252
DESCRIPTION: In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.4.22 up to and including 1.25.1, UDP source port is randomized and intended to serve as a secret value that increases the entropy of DNS transactions. When resolver load balancing policies depend on the source port while their outcome is revealed this secrecy is undermined. The vulnerability arises when the load balancing policy is consistent with respect to the incoming source UDP port and IP address while heavily depending on the incoming source UDP port as a randomization source. When the SO_REUSEPORT configuration option is enabled ('so-reuseport: yes') in Unbound (by default), it meets these conditions, making it vulnerable for DNS cache poisoning attacks. Upon startup, Unbound randomly partitions the available UDP source port space into disjoint subsets of (almost) equal size, assigning each subset to a specific worker thread. When an incoming DNS query is received, the kernel’s SO_REUSEPORT load balancing mechanism deterministically assigns the query to a socket associated with a particular thread. All outgoing DNS queries generated during the resolution of that request use source ports selected exclusively from the port subset assigned to the corresponding thread. Since these port subsets are disjoint across threads, the source port observed in a resolver’s outgoing query to an authoritative name server serves as a reliable indicator of the worker thread that processed the original client query. A malicious actor can acquire the mapping between incoming UDP source ports (for a given fixed source IP address) and Unbound worker threads and leverage it to conduct DNS cache poisoning attacks by effectively lowering the random port population per thread.

CVEID: CVE-2026-63831
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mac802154: llsec: add skb_cow_data() before in-place crypto
llsec_do_encrypt_unauth(), llsec_do_encrypt_auth(),
llsec_do_decrypt_unauth(), and llsec_do_decrypt_auth() all perform
in-place cryptographic transformations on skb data. They build a
scatterlist with sg_init_one() pointing into the skb's linear data area
and then pass the same scatterlist as both src and dst to the crypto API
(e.g. crypto_skcipher_encrypt/decrypt, crypto_aead_encrypt/decrypt).
On the RX path, __ieee802154_rx_handle_packet() clones the received skb
before handing it to each subscriber via ieee802154_subif_frame(). The
cloned skb shares the same underlying data buffer via reference
counting. When llsec_do_decrypt() subsequently modifies this shared
buffer in place, it corrupts data that other clones -- potentially
belonging to other sockets or subsystems -- still reference.
On the TX path, similar data sharing can occur when an skb's head has
been cloned (skb_cloned() returns true).
The fix is to call skb_cow_data() before performing any in-place crypto
operation. skb_cow_data() ensures that the skb's data area is not
shared: if the skb head is cloned or the data spans multiple fragments,
it copies the data into a private buffer that can be safely modified in
place. This is the same pattern used by:
- ESP (net/ipv4/esp4.c, net/ipv6/esp6.c)
- MACsec (drivers/net/macsec.c)
- WireGuard (drivers/net/wireguard/receive.c)
- TIPC (net/tipc/crypto.c)
Without this guard, in-place crypto on shared skb data leads to:
- Silent data corruption of other skb clones
- Use-after-free when the crypto API scatterwalk writes through a
page that has already been freed by another clone's kfree_skb()
- Kernel crashes under concurrent 802.15.4 traffic with security
enabled (KASAN/KMSAN reports slab-use-after-free)
Found by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis.

CVEID: CVE-2026-64564
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: don't free the ASCONF's own transport in DEL-IP processing
sctp_process_asconf() caches the transport the ASCONF chunk is processed
against in asconf-transport (== chunk-transport, set once in sctp_rcv()).
For an ASCONF located through its Address Parameter by
__sctp_rcv_asconf_lookup(), that cached transport corresponds to the
Address Parameter, which need not be the packet's source address.
sctp_process_asconf_param() rejects a DEL-IP for the packet source address
(ADDIP D8, SCTP_ERROR_DEL_SRC_IP), but nothing protects asconf-transport.
A single ASCONF can therefore carry, in order:
[Address Parameter L] [DEL-IP L] [DEL-IP 0.0.0.0]
where L differs from the source. The DEL-IP for L passes the D8 check and
calls sctp_assoc_rm_peer() on the transport that asconf-transport still
points at, freeing it (RCU-deferred). The following wildcard DEL-IP then
reuses the now-dangling asconf-transport in sctp_assoc_set_primary() and
sctp_assoc_del_nonprimary_peers(): set_primary() dereferences the freed
transport (-ipaddr, -state) and plants the dangling pointer into
asoc-peer.primary_path / active_path, and del_nonprimary_peers(), keeping
only the pointer that is no longer on the list, removes every real
transport, leaving the association with a transport_count of 0 and
primary_path/active_path pointing at freed memory.
Reject a DEL-IP that targets the transport the ASCONF is being processed
against, mirroring the existing source-address guard, so the wildcard
branch can never reuse a freed transport.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: SOF: ipc3-control: Validate size in snd_sof_update_control
In snd_sof_update_control(), firmware-provided cdata-num_elems is
checked against local_cdata-data-size but never against the actual
allocation size. If local_cdata-data-size was previously set to an
inconsistent value, the memcpy could write past the allocated buffer.
Add a bounds check to ensure num_elems fits within the available space
in the ipc_control_data allocation before copying.

CVEID: CVE-2026-80844
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: ah6: validate routing header segments_left
AH6 rearranges routing-header addresses before computing or verifying the
ICV. ipv6_rearrange_rthdr() assumes that segments_left is not larger than
the number of addresses described by the routing header's hdrlen field.
That assumption does not hold for raw IPv6 HDRINCL packets. A packet with
hdrlen equal to 2 describes one address, but can carry an arbitrary
segments_left value. With segments_left equal to 255, the function moves
its address pointer 4,064 bytes backwards and passes a 4,064-byte length to
memmove(), resulting in an out-of-bounds access.
Validate the invariant locally before modifying the routing header or
performing any address-pointer arithmetic, and propagate malformed-header
errors to the existing AH6 input and output error paths.

CVEID: CVE-2026-81000
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: tun: bound receive headroom
tun_get_user() uses tun-align both as skb headroom and when choosing how
much packet data to keep linear. OVS can propagate an oversized headroom
request from another port to TUN or TAP.
When align is larger than the usable space in a one-page skb head,
SKB_MAX_HEAD(align) underflows and the result becomes negative when stored
in good_linear. That value later wraps when assigned to the size_t linear
variable, and tun_alloc_skb() can place skb-data outside the allocated
head.
Bound the headroom stored by TUN to the one-page skb-head budget and the
largest non-sentinel 16-bit skb header offset. Leave one linear byte for
raw TUN and a complete Ethernet header for TAP, including NET_IP_ALIGN.
Also pull the raw-TUN protocol byte and the TAP Ethernet header before
accessing them, so these checks remain safe for nonlinear skbs supplied by
other allocation paths.

CVEID: CVE-2026-89846
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: qla2xxx: Bound rsp_info_len to avoid OOB sense-data read
In qla2x00_status_entry(), the FWI2 status path advances sense_data and
shrinks par_sense_len by rsp_info_len:
if (IS_FWI2_CAPABLE(ha)) {
sense_data += rsp_info_len;
par_sense_len -= rsp_info_len;
}
rsp_info_len is a 32-bit value taken directly from the target's FCP
response (sf.rsp_data_len), while par_sense_len is the IOCB data area
size (28 bytes for 24xx, 60 bytes for 29xx). A hostile or buggy target
reporting an rsp_info_len larger than par_sense_len makes the unsigned
subtraction underflow to a huge value and advances sense_data out of
bounds.
The underflowed par_sense_len then defeats the cap in
qla2x00_handle_sense():
if (sense_len par_sense_len)
sense_len = par_sense_len;
memcpy(cp-sense_buffer, sense_data, sense_len);
so the memcpy reads up to SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE bytes from the
out-of-bounds sense_data pointer, leaking adjacent response-ring/heap
memory into the command's sense buffer.
Clamp rsp_info_len to par_sense_len before the subtraction so
par_sense_len can never underflow and sense_data stays within the IOCB
data area. The fix sits before the comp_status switch, covering both
qla2x00_handle_sense() call sites.

CVEID: CVE-2026-96512
DESCRIPTION: A flaw was found in sudo. When sudoers rules use NOTBEFORE or NOTAFTER time-based access restrictions with timestamps that omit the trailing 'Z' timezone indicator, the time evaluation relies on the TZ environment variable inherited from the calling user. Because sudo is a setuid-root program, an unprivileged local user can set TZ to an extreme timezone offset to shift the authorization window by up to approximately 25 hours, causing expired rules to be treated as valid. This allows the user to execute commands outside the intended time window. Authentication is not bypassed; only the time-based authorization check is affected.

CVEID: CVE-2026-68496
DESCRIPTION: The Smile parser in FasterXML jackson-dataformats-binary never invokes StreamReadConstraints.validateNameLength() when decoding JSON object property names, so the maxNameLength limit is not enforced for this format. SmileParser._handleLongFieldName() grows its internal name buffer through an unconstrained _growArrayTo() call and performs no length validation. An attacker who can have a Smile document parsed may therefore embed a single property name of unbounded length; the parser buffers the whole name in memory before returning it, whatever maxNameLength is configured to. Because StreamReadConstraints.maxDocumentLength is also disabled by default, nothing else bounds the name under default settings, so the only limits are the attacker's upload capacity and available heap, leading to memory exhaustion and denial of service. No privileges beyond the ability to submit data to a parsing endpoint are required, and exploitation needs only that the bytes reach SmileFactory parsing, directly or through an ObjectMapper configured with the Smile module. jackson-core's own JSON parsers enforce maxNameLength incrementally during name decoding; this gap is specific to the binary formats. maxNameLength and validateNameLength were introduced in jackson-core 2.16.0, so releases before 2.16.0 do not contain the constraint that is left unenforced. This issue is tracked together with the CBOR parser defect in the same vendor advisory, GHSA-3v8f-v6vx-fmrm, which covers both binary formats. The Smile parser defect (jackson-dataformats-binary issue #726) is CVE-2026-68496; the CBOR parser defect (issue #725) is assigned CVE-2026-68495.

DESCRIPTION: Information disclosure via SetWatches reconnect replay in Apache ZooKeeper due to missing ACL check. An attacker can discover ACL-restricted paths by registering exists-watches on non-existent paths, then reconnecting after the paths are created with restricted ACLs. Issue is caused by incomplete fix for CVE-2024-23944 (ZOOKEEPER-4799). The fix added ACL checking to WatchManager.triggerWatch(). However, DataTree.setWatches() — the SetWatches/SetWatches2 reconnect replay handler — still calls watcher.process(event) with null ACL, bypassing the check entirely. It's important to note that only the path is exposed by this vulnerability, not the data of znode, but since znode path can contain sensitive information like user name or login ID, this issue is potentially critical.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.9.6, 3.8.7 which fixes the issue.

DESCRIPTION: Apache ZooKeeper quorum TLS fails to enforce peer hostname verification in FIPS-mode deployments. When sslQuorum=true, zookeeper.fips-mode=true, ssl.quorum.hostnameVerification=true, and ssl.quorum.clientHostnameVerification=true are enabled, the Java SSLSocket quorum path accepts a CA-trusted peer certificate whose SAN does not match the connected host. A malicious or misissued peer certificate can therefore join quorum traffic, participate in leader election, and enter replication flows.

CVEID: CVE-2026-79993
DESCRIPTION: The `deleteContainer` opcode (0x14/20) is processed without verifying the caller's ACL permissions, allowing any authenticated client to delete specific znodes in the data tree regardless of the ACL restrictions on the znode or its parent. This opcode is considered internal-only and the official client doesn't have API for it, but a client that can open a plain TCP session on the ZooKeeper client port (2181 by default) - with NO authentication and NO ACL permissions - can delete any empty persistent znode (including regular persistent nodes, container nodes, and TTL nodes) by issuing the raw protocol OpCode deleteContainer (20). The deleteContainer request path completely skips both the session check and the DELETE ACL check that are enforced by the regular delete (OpCode 2) path. This is an authorization bypass / ACL enforcement bug.
This issue affects Apache ZooKeeper: from 3.9.0 through 3.9.5, from 3.8.0 through 3.8.6.

CVEID: CVE-2026-84439
DESCRIPTION: When audit logging is enabled (zookeeper.audit.enable=true), an unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary fields into Apache ZooKeeper's audit log by sending a digest authentication request with tab characters (\t) embedded in the username. Because the audit log uses tab-separated key=value format, the injected tabs are parsed as legitimate field separators, allowing the attacker to spoof audit results (e.g., injecting result=success), forge operation types, and corrupt forensic evidence.
A log injection vulnerability in Apache ZooKeeper allows a client that can call setACL to inject forged key-value fields into zookeeper_audit.log. When audit logging is enabled, the server serializes attacker-controlled digest ACL ids into the acl= audit field without escaping tab characters. Because audit events are emitted as tab-separated key=value records, a crafted ACL id can make one successful setAcl event appear to contain forged fields such as operation=delete and znode=/forged. This undermines the integrity of downstream audit parsing, alerting, and incident response.
This issue affects Apache ZooKeeper: from 3.9.0 through 3.9.5, from 3.8.0 through 3.8.6.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.9.6 or 3.8.7, which fixes the issue.

DESCRIPTION: A flaw was found in GDB's STABS debug format parser. The
read_member_functions() function in gdb/stabsread.c contains a linked
list removal bug in the code that separates destructor and non-destructor
member functions of C++ classes. The bug causes the destructor entries to
remain in the main function list while the list length counter is
decremented, resulting in an out-of-bounds write when the function list
is copied to its final allocated array. An attacker can craft an ELF

DESCRIPTION: In NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including 1.26.0, a vulnerability was found in that can progressively corrupt heap memory and under certain systems and compilation options could lead to remote code execution. The vulnerability starts when CNAME synthesis during an upstream response needs to enforce(rewrite) a max TTL value in the packet buffer. Coupled with a compression pointer that points to the overwritten value and invalidates the domain name, it leads to an error path that does not properly move the buffer position and allows for the heap buffer overflow. 2. Set fb1's mode to the global fb_display[] array (via FBIOPUT_CON2FBMAP);
3. Switch console from fb to VGA (to allow normal rmmod of the ko);
4. Unload the kernel module, at this point fb1's modelist is freed, leaving
a wild pointer in fb_display[];
5. Trigger the bug via system calls through fb0 attempting to delete a mode
from fb0.
Add a check in do_unregister_framebuffer(): if the mode to be freed exists
in fb_display[], set the corresponding mode pointer to NULL.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: fix e4b bitmap inconsistency reports
A bitmap inconsistency issue was observed during stress tests under
mixed huge-page workloads. Ext4 reported multiple e4b bitmap check
failures like:
ext4_mb_complex_scan_group:2508: group 350, 8179 free clusters as
per group info. But got 8192 blocks
Analysis and experimentation confirmed that the issue is caused by a
race condition between page migration and bitmap modification. Although
this timing window is extremely narrow, it is still hit in practice:
folio_lock ext4_mb_load_buddy
__migrate_folio
check ref count
folio_mc_copy __filemap_get_folio
folio_try_get(folio)
......
mb_mark_used
ext4_mb_unload_buddy
__folio_migrate_mapping
folio_ref_freeze
folio_unlock
The root cause of this issue is that the fast path of load_buddy only
increments the folio's reference count, which is insufficient to prevent
concurrent folio migration. We observed that the folio migration process
acquires the folio lock. Therefore, we can determine whether to take the
fast path in load_buddy by checking the lock status. If the folio is
locked, we opt for the slow path (which acquires the lock) to close this
concurrency window.
Additionally, this change addresses the following issues:
When the DOUBLE_CHECK macro is enabled to inspect bitmap-related
issues, the following error may be triggered:
corruption in group 324 at byte 784(6272): f in copy != ff on
disk/prealloc
Analysis reveals that this is a false positive. There is a specific race
window where the bitmap and the group descriptor become momentarily
inconsistent, leading to this error report:
ext4_mb_load_buddy ext4_mb_load_buddy
__filemap_get_folio(create|lock)
folio_lock
ext4_mb_init_cache
folio_mark_uptodate
__filemap_get_folio(no lock)
......
mb_mark_used
mb_mark_used_double
mb_cmp_bitmaps
mb_set_bits(e4b-bd_bitmap)
folio_unlock
The original logic assumed that since mb_cmp_bitmaps is called when the
bitmap is newly loaded from disk, the folio lock would be sufficient to
prevent concurrent access. However, this overlooks a specific race
condition: if another process attempts to load buddy and finds the folio
is already in an uptodate state, it will immediately begin using it without
holding folio lock.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
arm64: tlb: Flush walk cache when unsharing PMD tables
When huge_pmd_unshare() is called to unshare a PMD table, the
tlb_unshare_pmd_ptdesc() function sets tlb-unshared_tables=true
but the aarch64 tlb_flush() only checked tlb-freed_tables to
determine whether to use TLBF_NONE (vae1is, invalidates walk
cache) or TLBF_NOWALKCACHE (vale1is, leaf-only).
This caused the stale PMD page table entry to remain in the walk cache
after unshare, potentially leading to incorrect page table walks.
Fix by including unshared_tables in the check, so that when
unsharing tables, TLBF_NONE is used and the walk cache is properly
invalidated.
Here is the detailed distinction between vae1is and vale1is:
| Instruction Combination | Actual Invalidation Scope |
| ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------|
| `VAE1IS` + TTL=`0` | All entries at all levels (full invalidation) |

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: Fix TOCTOU double-fetch of hwc_msg_id from DMA buffer
In mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), resp-response.hwc_msg_id is read from
DMA-coherent memory and bounds-checked, then mana_hwc_handle_resp()
re-reads the same field from the same DMA buffer for test_bit() and
pointer arithmetic.
DMA-coherent memory is mapped uncacheable on x86 and is shared,
unencrypted, in Confidential VMs (SEV-SNP/TDX), so each load goes
directly to host-visible memory. A H/W can modify the value
between the check and the use, bypassing the bounds validation.
Fix this by reading hwc_msg_id exactly once using READ_ONCE() into a
stack-local variable in mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), and passing the
validated value as a parameter to mana_hwc_handle_resp().

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf/core: Detach event groups during remove_on_exec
perf_event_remove_on_exec() removes events by calling
perf_event_exit_event(). For top-level events, this removes the event from
the context with DETACH_EXIT only.
This can leave inconsistent group state when a removed event is a group
leader and the group contains siblings without remove_on_exec. If the group
was active, the surviving siblings can remain active and attached to the
removed leader's sibling list, but are no longer represented by a valid
group leader on the PMU context active lists.
A later close of the removed leader uses DETACH_GROUP and can promote the
still-active siblings from this stale group state. The next schedule-in can
then add an already-linked active_list entry again, corrupting the PMU
context active list.
With DEBUG_LIST enabled, this is caught as a list_add double-add in
merge_sched_in().
Fix this by detaching group relationships when remove_on_exec removes an
event. This preserves the existing task-exit and revoke behavior, while
ensuring surviving siblings are ungrouped before the removed event leaves
the context.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
libceph: Reject monmaps advertising zero monitors
A message of type CEPH_MSG_MON_MAP contains a monmap that is sent from a
monitor to the client. This monmap contains information about the
existing monitors in the cluster. Currently, a monmap indicating that
there are zero monitors in the cluster is treated as valid. However, it
is impossible to have zero monitors in the cluster and still receive a
valid monmap from a monitor. Therefore, such a monmap must be corrupted
and should be treated as invalid. Furthermore, a monmap with a monitor
count of zero can subsequently crash the client when attempting to open
a session with a monitor in __open_session(). This happens because the
"BUG_ON(monc-monmap-num_mon 1)" assertion in pick_new_mon() is
triggered.
This patch extends a check in ceph_monmap_decode() to also reject
arriving mon_maps with num_mon == 0 rather than only with
num_mon CEPH_MAX_MON.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
libceph: refresh auth-authorizer_buf{,_len} after authorizer update
ceph_x_create_authorizer() caches au-buf-vec.iov_base and
au-buf-vec.iov_len in struct ceph_auth_handshake. These
cached values are then used by the messenger connect code when
sending the authorizer.
ceph_x_update_authorizer() can rebuild the authorizer when a newer
service ticket is available. If the rebuilt authorizer no longer
fits in the existing buffer, ceph_x_build_authorizer() drops its
reference to au-buf and allocates a new one. If this is the final
reference, ceph_buffer_put() frees the old ceph_buffer and its
vec.iov_base, but auth-authorizer_buf still points at that freed
memory.
A subsequent msgr1 reconnect can therefore queue the stale pointer
and trigger a KASAN slab-use-after-free in _copy_from_iter() while
tcp_sendmsg() copies the authorizer.
Refresh auth-authorizer_buf and auth-authorizer_buf_len after a
successful authorizer rebuild so the messenger sends the current
buffer.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
libceph: bound pg_{temp,upmap,upmap_items} length to CEPH_PG_MAX_SIZE
__decode_pg_temp() decodes an user-controlled length but only rejects
values large enough to overflow the allocation; it does not bound it to
CEPH_PG_MAX_SIZE. The helper backs both pg_temp and pg_upmap decoding, and
apply_upmap()/get_temp_osds() later copy the decoded list into the fixed-size
on-stack array struct ceph_osds.osds[CEPH_PG_MAX_SIZE]. A monitor that sends
an OSDMap with a pg_temp/pg_upmap entry longer than 32 thus causes a stack
out-of-bounds write.
An OSD set for a single PG can never exceed CEPH_PG_MAX_SIZE, so reject longer
entries at decode time. The bound is well below the old overflow threshold, so
it also covers the allocation-size overflow the previous check guarded against.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: Fix context pstate override handling
There are several problems in the context pstate handling code.
The most serious ones are potential use-after-free and NULL pointer
dereferences at context initialization time. Both are due
amdgpu_ctx_init() not holding the adev-pm.stable_pstate_ctx_lock, which
is otherwise used from both sysfs and the context code itself for
modifying and clearing the stored context pointer.
Second issue is that context fini can trample over the pstate
configuration set via sysfs. This is due the restore state
(ctx-stable_pstate) being saved at context init time, and not if, or when
the context actually changes the pstate. As the context exits it will
therefore incorrectly restore to what was set before the sysfs override
was requested.
The simplest fix is to drastically simplify how the state is tracked, by
clearly defining the points at which pstate ownership is taken and
released, and to handle all transitions under the correct lock.
Instead of at context init time, the previous state is saved only at the
point the context overrides the current state, and is restored on context
exit only if the context is still the owner of the current override state.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf: Reject exited events as group leaders
perf_event_remove_on_exec() sets remove-on-exec events to the EXIT state
and detaches their group relationships. The event's file descriptor can
remain open, however, and perf_event_open() currently accepts that event
as a group leader because its early validation rejects only REVOKED and
DEAD events.
A new sibling can consequently be linked to the detached leader. When
the leader is closed, perf_group_detach() observes that its
PERF_ATTACH_GROUP bit is already clear and skips the new sibling. The
sibling then retains a group_leader pointer to the freed event.
Reject group leaders in the EXIT state. Perform the check while holding
the shared context mutex so that an exec in the target task cannot detach
the leader between validation and group attachment.

CVEID: CVE-2025-45582
DESCRIPTION: GNU Tar through 1.35 allows file overwrite via directory traversal in crafted TAR archives, with a certain two-step process. First, the victim must extract an archive that contains a ../ symlink to a critical directory. Second, the victim must extract an archive that contains a critical file, specified via a relative pathname that begins with the symlink name and ends with that critical file's name. Here, the extraction follows the symlink and overwrites the critical file. This bypasses the protection mechanism of "Member name contains '..'" that would occur for a single TAR archive that attempted to specify the critical file via a ../ approach. For example, the first archive can contain "x - ../../../../../home/victim/.ssh" and the second archive can contain x/authorized_keys. This can affect server applications that automatically extract any number of user-supplied TAR archives, and were relying on the blocking of traversal. This can also affect software installation processes in which "tar xf" is run more than once (e.g., when installing a package can automatically install two dependencies that are set up as untrusted tarballs instead of official packages). NOTE: the official GNU Tar manual has an otherwise-empty directory for each "tar xf" in its Security Rules of Thumb; however, third-party advice leads users to run "tar xf" more than once into the same directory.

DESCRIPTION: A TOCTOU (Time-of-Check Time-of-Use) vulnerability in GNU tar's incremental dumpdir 'X' rename handling allows a local attacker with write access to a directory being backed up to influence the restore process if the attacker has access to the system where the restore is being performed. During restoration, files or directories may be created, renamed or overwritten outside the intended extraction directory. This could lead to unauthorized file modification or, in some cases, privilege escalation. Exploitation does not require the attacker to modify or craft the archive, and standard backup and restore workflows—including extracting into a newly created directory without using the -P option do not mitigate the issue.

DESCRIPTION: Core creation allows users to replace "trusted" configset files with arbitrary configuration
Solr instances that (1) use the "FileSystemConfigSetService" component (the default in "standalone" or "user-managed" mode), and (2) are running without authentication and authorization are vulnerable to a sort of privilege escalation wherein individual "trusted" configset files can be ignored in favor of potentially-untrusted replacements available elsewhere on the filesystem. These replacement config files are treated as "trusted" and can use "lib" tags to add to Solr's classpath, which an attacker might use to load malicious code as a searchComponent or other plugin.
This issue affects all Apache Solr versions up through Solr 9.7. Users can protect against the vulnerability by enabling authentication and authorization on their Solr clusters or switching to SolrCloud (and away from "FileSystemConfigSetService"). Users are also recommended to upgrade to Solr 9.8.0, which mitigates this issue by disabling use of "lib" tags by default.

CVEID: CVE-2026-68495
DESCRIPTION: The CBOR parser in FasterXML jackson-dataformats-binary never invokes StreamReadConstraints.validateNameLength() when decoding JSON object property names, so the maxNameLength limit is not enforced for this format. CBORParser._decodeLongerName() decodes a definite-length property name with no length check, and CBORParser._decodeChunkedName() delegates to the value-oriented _finishChunkedText() routine, which validates maxStringLength rather than maxNameLength. An attacker who can have a CBOR document parsed may therefore embed a single property name of unbounded length; the parser buffers the whole name in memory before returning it, whatever maxNameLength is configured to. Because StreamReadConstraints.maxDocumentLength is also disabled by default, nothing else bounds the name under default settings, so the only limits are the attacker's upload capacity and available heap, leading to memory exhaustion and denial of service. No privileges beyond the ability to submit data to a parsing endpoint are required, and exploitation needs only that the bytes reach CBORFactory parsing, directly or through an ObjectMapper configured with the CBOR module. jackson-core's own JSON parsers enforce maxNameLength incrementally during name decoding; this gap is specific to the binary formats. maxNameLength and validateNameLength were introduced in jackson-core 2.16.0, so releases before 2.16.0 do not contain the constraint that is left unenforced. This issue is tracked together with the Smile parser defect in the same vendor advisory, GHSA-3v8f-v6vx-fmrm, which covers both binary formats. The CBOR parser defect (jackson-dataformats-binary issue #725) is CVE-2026-68495; the Smile parser defect (issue #726) is assigned CVE-2026-68496.

CVEID: CVE-2026-72693
DESCRIPTION: `openvt -u` is intended to identify the owner of the current VT and then execute `login` as that user from a privileged context. In the documented `kbrequest`/init usage, the ownership test in `authenticate_user()` relies on `stat("/proc/pid/fd/0")`. `stat()` on `/proc/pid/fd/0` follows the symlink to the underlying TTY device node. As a result, `buf.st_uid` reflects the owner of the TTY node rather than the owner of the process holding the file descriptor. If the TTY owner returns to `root` or the getty owner after logout while an unprivileged process still has `fd 0` attached to that TTY, the check can incorrectly treat that process as belonging to the privileged console owner. Once that check succeeds, the `-u` path executes a passwordless login as the selected user. In the documented `kbrequest`/init deployment using `openvt -us`, this can result in passwordless `login -f root` on the spawned VT. This report establishes that privilege escalation path for that documented deployment; it does not claim equivalent reachability for deployments that do not use `openvt -u` from a privileged `kbrequest`/init path.

CVEID: CVE-2026-19032
DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind's deserializer for java.nio.file.Path resolves an attacker-supplied URI without restricting the URI scheme. In JDKFromStringDeserializer.NioPathHelper.deserialize, a string bound from untrusted JSON is passed to new URI(value) and then to Path.of(uri). When that throws FileSystemNotFoundException, the code enumerates ServiceLoaderFileSystemProvider and calls provider.getPath(uri) on the first provider whose scheme matches the attacker-chosen scheme. Untrusted JSON can therefore select and drive an arbitrary registered FileSystemProvider during readValue under a default JsonMapper, and forces provider class loading at the same time. With only the JDK built-in providers (file, jar/zipfs) present, the resolved path is inert and no mount or network I/O occurs; further impact requires a side-effecting third-party FileSystemProvider on the classpath. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.8.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. Users should upgrade to 2.18.10, 2.21.6, 2.22.2, 3.1.6, or 3.2.2. Binding java.nio.file.Path from untrusted JSON should be avoided regardless of version.

CVEID: CVE-2026-54512
DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.10.0 until 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4, jackson-databind's PolymorphicTypeValidator (PTV) is the primary safety mechanism guarding polymorphic deserialization. When polymorphic typing is enabled and a type identifier contains generic parameters (i.e. the type ID string contains ), DatabindContext._resolveAndValidateGeneric() validates only the raw container class name (the substring before ) against the configured PTV. If the container type is approved, the method parses the full canonical type string via TypeFactory.constructFromCanonical() and returns the fully parameterized type without ever validating the nested type arguments against the PTV. The nested type arguments are then resolved, instantiated, and populated as beans during deserialization. An attacker who controls the type ID can therefore place a denied class as a generic type parameter of an allowed container — for example java.util.ArrayListcom.evil.Gadget when only java.util.ArrayList is allow-listed. The container passes the PTV check; com.evil.Gadget is loaded via Class.forName(name, true, loader), instantiated, and its properties are set from attacker-controlled JSON. This completely bypasses an explicitly configured PTV allow-list. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4.

DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.10.0 until 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4, BasicPolymorphicTypeValidator.Builder.allowIfSubTypeIsArray() allowlists any array type based only on clazz.isArray(), without validating the array's component (element) type against the configured allowlist. A PTV built with allowIfSubTypeIsArray() plus an explicit concrete-type allowlist therefore still permits EvilType[] even though EvilType is not allowlisted. When Jackson deserializes the elements and no per-element type IDs are present, it instantiates the component type directly with no further PTV check, bypassing the allowlist. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4.

DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.0.0 until 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4, JDKFromStringDeserializer constructed InetSocketAddress with new InetSocketAddress(host, port), which performs eager DNS name resolution for hostname inputs at deserialization time. An application that binds untrusted JSON into a type containing an InetSocketAddress field issues an attacker-chosen DNS query during readValue, before any application-level validation or connect logic. The fix uses InetSocketAddress.createUnresolved(host, port), deferring DNS to an explicit connect. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.18.8, 2.21.4, and 3.1.4.

DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.8.0 until 2.18.9, 2.21.5, and 3.1.4, in BeanDeserializerBase.createContextual(), per-property @JsonIgnoreProperties exclusions are applied by _handleByNameInclusion(), producing a contextual deserializer whose BeanPropertyMap has the ignored properties removed. The subsequent per-property case-insensitivity block (triggered by @JsonFormat(ACCEPT_CASE_INSENSITIVE_PROPERTIES)) rebuilds from this._beanProperties (the original, unfiltered map) instead of contextual._beanProperties, then overwrites the filtered map — restoring every property _handleByNameInclusion had just removed. DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind contains the general-purpose data-binding functionality and tree-model for Jackson Data Processor. From 2.21.0 until 2.21.4 and 3.1.4, POJOPropertiesCollector._renameProperties() allows a property with @JsonProperty("renamed") on the getter and @JsonIgnore on the setter to be renamed rather than dropped. With MapperFeature.INFER_PROPERTY_MUTATORS enabled (default), the private backing field is retained; during deserialization BeanDeserializerFactory.addBeanProps() sees hasField()==true, builds a FieldProperty, and makes the backing field writable. An attacker supplying the renamed JSON key writes the backing field directly, bypassing the @JsonIgnore on the setter. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.1.4.

CVEID: CVE-2026-68497
DESCRIPTION: jackson-databind binds a JSON string to a javax.xml.datatype.Duration or javax.xml.datatype.XMLGregorianCalendar field by passing the raw string verbatim to DatatypeFactory.newDuration(value) or newXMLGregorianCalendar(value) in CoreXMLDeserializers.Std._deserialize. These deserializers are registered by default with no opt-in, so a plain ObjectMapper or JsonMapper with no polymorphic typing and no special configuration reaches this path. The XML Schema lexical grammar permits numeric components of arbitrary length, which the JDK materializes through the native BigInteger(String) and BigDecimal(String) constructors, both quadratic in digit count. Because the digits sit inside a JSON string token rather than a JSON number token, jackson-core's StreamReadConstraints.maxNumberLength guard never applies; jackson's own NumberDeserializers call validateIntegerLength or validateFPLength before parsing a stringified number, but the XML datatype deserializer omits that pre-check. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore submit a single request of a few megabytes, such as a Duration value consisting of the letter P followed by several million digits and the letter Y, and force tens of seconds to several minutes of single-threaded CPU work; a handful of concurrent requests can saturate a server's worker threads. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.0.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. CVEID: CVE-2026-83557
DESCRIPTION: DefaultBaseTypeLimitingValidator is the PolymorphicTypeValidator applied automatically whenever @JsonTypeInfo is used without an explicitly configured custom validator. It denies polymorphic resolution only for a fixed set of "unsafe base types", and its isSafeSubType method returns true unconditionally for every base type outside that set. java.lang.Comparable was absent from the list despite being implemented by a very large fraction of JDK and application classes, comparable in breadth to java.io.Serializable, which is on the list for that reason. An application declaring an @JsonTypeInfo-annotated property or class with Comparable as its base type, and no custom PolymorphicTypeValidator, will accept a type identifier for essentially any class implementing Comparable. This yields an attacker-controlled object instantiation primitive; a demonstrated case constructs a java.io.File for an arbitrary attacker-chosen path, which becomes path-traversal-adjacent if the application subsequently calls path-sensitive methods on the value. No class implementing Comparable has been identified that yields code execution through deserialization alone. Global Default Typing via activateDefaultTyping is not affected, because that method structurally requires an explicit PolymorphicTypeValidator argument. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.11.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. When name-based polymorphism is configured with a fallback, for example @JsonTypeInfo(use = Id.NAME, defaultImpl = ...), every distinct unrecognized type ID resolves to the same fallback deserializer but is retained as its own key in the _deserializers map. That map has no configurable bound and lives for the lifetime of the type deserializer, so an attacker who can repeatedly supply fresh unknown type IDs causes monotonic memory retention across requests. The reporter observed 10,000 retained entries from 10,000 distinct unknown IDs, against a single entry for a control that repeated one unknown ID the same number of times, isolating attacker-controlled key cardinality from request volume. Exploitation requires an application that enables name-based polymorphism with a defaultImpl or equivalent fallback, accepts attacker-influenced type IDs, and reuses a long-lived ObjectMapper across requests. The fix stops caching fallback resolutions for unrecognized IDs and bounds both the number of cached entries and the length of a cacheable type ID.

DESCRIPTION: Forward-reference completion for @JsonIdentityInfo object IDs in FasterXML jackson-databind performs a linear scan of the pending-reference accumulator for every resolved ID. The affected paths are CollectionDeserializer.CollectionReferringAccumulator.resolveForwardReference() and the equivalent implementation in MapDeserializer. When a document first creates N unresolved object-ID references in an identity-enabled collection or map and then defines those same IDs in reverse order, completion performs on the order of N * (N + 1) / 2 identity comparisons, so a shallow document whose size grows linearly causes quadratic CPU work during deserialization. The reporter instrumented equals() calls on the ID class and measured exactly 2,003,000 comparisons at N = 2,000, against zero comparisons in the pending-reference lookup path for an equally sized control in which every reference was already resolved. The input requires no deep nesting and no syntactically unusual JSON. Exploitation requires an application that deserializes attacker-influenced JSON into an identity-enabled collection or map. The fix replaces the repeated linear lookup with a keyed pending-reference structure.

DESCRIPTION: UTF8DataInputJsonParser._reportInvalidToken() in FasterXML jackson-core builds the offending-token text for its error message by appending Java identifier characters to a StringBuilder in a loop that has no upper bound. Unlike the three sibling parser implementations, including UTF8StreamJsonParser, it never consults ErrorReportConfiguration.getMaxErrorTokenLength() (default 256). A malformed token supplied to a parser created through JsonFactory.createParser(DataInput) is therefore accumulated in full. No StreamReadConstraints setting mitigates this: maxDocumentLength cannot be applied to DataInput sources at all, and maxStringLength does not cover this path because the accumulation bypasses ReadConstrainedTextBuffer. The reporter measured a 20,000,109-character exception message from a 20-million-character malformed token on the DataInput path, against 367 characters for identical input on the InputStream path. Scaling the payload drives the StringBuilder, which also incurs byte-to-char expansion and internal array doubling, to many times the raw payload size and can trigger OutOfMemoryError for the whole JVM. UTF8DataInputJsonParser was introduced in 2.8.0 together with createParser(DataInput); releases before 2.8.0 do not contain the affected class.

Bluetooth: btusb: revert use of devm_kzalloc in btusb
This reverts commit 98921dbd00c4e ("Bluetooth: Use devm_kzalloc in
btusb.c file").
In btusb_probe(), we use devm_kzalloc() to allocate the btusb data. This
ties the lifetime of all the btusb data to the binding of a driver to
one interface, INTF. In a driver that binds to other interfaces, ISOC
and DIAG, this is an accident waiting to happen.
The issue is revealed in btusb_disconnect(), where calling
usb_driver_release_interface(&btusb_driver, data-intf) will have devm
free the data that is also being used by the other interfaces of the
driver that may not be released yet.
To fix this, revert the use of devm and go back to freeing memory
explicitly.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: SMP: force responder MITM requirements before building the pairing response
smp_cmd_pairing_req() currently builds the pairing response from the
initiator auth_req before enforcing the local BT_SECURITY_HIGH
requirement. If the initiator omits SMP_AUTH_MITM, the response can
also omit it even though the local side still requires MITM.
tk_request() then sees an auth value without SMP_AUTH_MITM and may
select JUST_CFM, making method selection inconsistent with the pairing
policy the responder already enforces.
When the local side requires HIGH security, first verify that MITM can
be achieved from the IO capabilities and then force SMP_AUTH_MITM in the
response in both rsp.auth_req and auth. This keeps the responder auth bits
and later method selection aligned.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/vt-d: Clear Present bit before tearing down PASID entry
The Intel VT-d Scalable Mode PASID table entry consists of 512 bits (64
bytes). When tearing down an entry, the current implementation zeros the
entire 64-byte structure immediately using multiple 64-bit writes.
Since the IOMMU hardware may fetch these 64 bytes using multiple
internal transactions (e.g., four 128-bit bursts), updating or zeroing
the entire entry while it is active (P=1) risks a "torn" read. If a
hardware fetch occurs simultaneously with the CPU zeroing the entry, the
hardware could observe an inconsistent state, leading to unpredictable
behavior or spurious faults.
Follow the "Guidance to Software for Invalidations" in the VT-d spec
(Section 6.5.3.3) by implementing the recommended ownership handshake:
1. Clear only the 'Present' (P) bit of the PASID entry.
2. Use a dma_wmb() to ensure the cleared bit is visible to hardware
before proceeding.
3. Execute the required invalidation sequence (PASID cache, IOTLB, and
Device-TLB flush) to ensure the hardware has released all cached
references.
4. Only after the flushes are complete, zero out the remaining fields
of the PASID entry.
Also, add a dma_wmb() in pasid_set_present() to ensure that all other
fields of the PASID entry are visible to the hardware before the Present
bit is set.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rxe: Validate pad and ICRC before payload_size() in rxe_rcv
rxe_rcv() currently checks only that the incoming packet is at least
header_size(pkt) bytes long before payload_size() is used.
However, payload_size() subtracts both the attacker-controlled BTH pad
field and RXE_ICRC_SIZE from pkt-paylen:
payload_size = pkt-paylen - offset[RXE_PAYLOAD] - bth_pad(pkt)
- RXE_ICRC_SIZE
This means a short packet can still make payload_size() underflow even
if it includes enough bytes for the fixed headers. Simply requiring
header_size(pkt) + RXE_ICRC_SIZE is not sufficient either, because a
packet with a forged non-zero BTH pad can still leave payload_size()
negative and pass an underflowed value to later receive-path users.
Fix this by validating pkt-paylen against the full minimum length
required by payload_size(): header_size(pkt) + bth_pad(pkt) +
RXE_ICRC_SIZE.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rxe: Reject unknown opcodes before ICRC processing
Even after applying commit 7244491dab34 ("RDMA/rxe: Validate pad and ICRC
before payload_size() in rxe_rcv"), a single unauthenticated UDP packet
can still trigger panic. That patch handled payload_size() underflow only
for valid opcodes with short packets, not for packets carrying an unknown
opcode. The unknown-opcode OOB read described below predates that commit
and reaches back to the initial Soft RoCE driver.
The check added there reads
pkt-paylen header_size(pkt) + bth_pad(pkt) + RXE_ICRC_SIZE
where header_size(pkt) expands to rxe_opcode[pkt-opcode].length. The
rxe_opcode[] array has 256 entries but is only populated for defined IB
opcodes; any other entry (for example opcode 0xff) is zero-initialized, so
length == 0 and the check degenerates to
pkt-paylen 0 + bth_pad(pkt) + RXE_ICRC_SIZE
which does not constrain pkt-paylen enough. rxe_icrc_hdr() then computes
rxe_opcode[pkt-opcode].length - RXE_BTH_BYTES
which underflows when length == 0 and passes a huge value to rxe_crc32(),
causing an out-of-bounds read of the skb payload.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm cache policy smq: fix missing locks in invalidating cache blocks
In passthrough mode, the policy invalidate_mapping operation is called
simultaneously from multiple workers, thus it should be protected by a
lock. Otherwise, we might end up with data races on the allocated blocks
counter, or even use-after-free issues with internal data structures
when doing concurrent writes.
Note that the existing FIXME in smq_invalidate_mapping() doesn't affect
passthrough mode since migration tasks don't exist there, but would need
attention if supporting fast device shrinking via suspend/resume without
target reloading.
Reproduce steps:
1. Create a cache device consisting of 1024 cache entries
dmsetup create cmeta --table "0 8192 linear /dev/sdc 0"
dmsetup create cdata --table "0 131072 linear /dev/sdc 8192"

dmsetup create cache --table "0 262144 cache /dev/mapper/cmeta \
/dev/mapper/cdata /dev/mapper/corig 128 2 metadata2 writethrough smq 0"
2. Populate the cache, and record the number of cached blocks
fio --name=populate --filename=/dev/mapper/cache --rw=randwrite --bs=4k \
--size=64m --direct=1
nr_cached=$(dmsetup status cache | awk '{split($7, a, "/"); print a[1]}')
3. Reload the cache into passthrough mode
dmsetup suspend cache
dmsetup reload cache --table "0 262144 cache /dev/mapper/cmeta \
/dev/mapper/cdata /dev/mapper/corig 128 2 metadata2 passthrough smq 0"
dmsetup resume cache
4. Write to the passthrough cache. By setting multiple jobs with I/O
size equal to the cache block size, cache blocks are invalidated
concurrently from different workers.
fio --filename=/dev/mapper/cache --name=test --rw=randwrite --bs=64k \
--direct=1 --numjobs=2 --randrepeat=0 --size=64m
5. Check if demoted matches cached block count. These numbers should
match but may differ due to the data race.

Bluetooth: HIDP: fix missing length checks in hidp_input_report()
hidp_input_report() reads keyboard and mouse payload data from an skb
without first verifying that skb-len contains enough data.
hidp_recv_intr_frame() pulls the 1-byte HIDP header before dispatching
to hidp_input_report(). If a paired device sends a truncated packet,
the handler reads beyond the valid skb data, resulting in an
out-of-bounds read of skb data. The OOB bytes may be interpreted as
phantom key presses or spurious mouse movement.
Replace the open-coded length tracking and pointer arithmetic with
skb_pull_data() calls. skb_pull_data() returns NULL if the requested
bytes are not present, eliminating the need for a manual size variable
and the separate skb-len guard.

percpu_ref_switch_to_atomic_rcu, a use-after-free diagnostic, and
eventually a permanent workqueue deadlock.
Check cmd-flags & NVMET_TCP_F_INIT_FAILED before calling
nvmet_req_uninit(), matching the existing pattern in
nvmet_tcp_execute_request().

CVEID: CVE-2026-64582
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rxe: Fix a use-after-free problem in rxe_mmap
rxe_mmap() removes a rxe_mmap_info struct from the pending_mmaps list
and releases pending_lock while the struct's kref is still at 1:
list_del_init(&ip-pending_mmaps);
spin_unlock_bh(&rxe-pending_lock); /* ref == 1, no lock held */
ret = remap_vmalloc_range(vma, ip-obj, 0); /* walks PTEs */
[...]
rxe_vma_open(vma); /* kref_get, ref → 2 */
remap_vmalloc_range_partial() walks PTEs without any lock.
A concurrent DESTROY_CQ ioctl on another CPU calls:
kref_put(&q-ip-ref, rxe_mmap_release) /* ref 1→0 */
vfree(ip-obj) /* clears vmalloc PTEs mid-walk */
kfree(ip) /* frees rxe_mmap_info */
This yields:
1. Kernel crash, vmalloc_to_page() returns NULL when vfree wins the
per-PTE race - vm_insert_page(NULL) → GPF in validate_page_before_insert
2. Page UAF, vmalloc_to_page() reads a stale PTE before vfree clears
it. User VMA holds a PTE to a free'd page which might eventually get
reallocated later by vmalloc which allows the attacker to get a clean
page-level UAF.
It is worth noting that even though a page-level UAF is possible given
the strong primitive, it is statistically very difficult to achieve
given the very short time window (after the last insert_page and before
the kref_get).

Bluetooth: RFCOMM: Fix session UAF in set_termios
rfcomm_tty_set_termios() tests dlc-session without rfcomm_mutex and
later passes the pointer to rfcomm_send_rpn(). The latter dereferences
both session-initiator and session-sock. Meanwhile, krfcommd can
unlink the DLC and free the session while holding rfcomm_mutex.
The race can proceed as follows:
TTY ioctl task krfcommd

load dlc-session
enter rfcomm_send_rpn()
lock rfcomm_mutex
clear dlc-session
free session
unlock rfcomm_mutex
read session-initiator

Add rfcomm_dlc_send_rpn(), which holds rfcomm_mutex while it verifies
that the DLC is still attached and sends the RPN frame. Have the TTY
path use the helper and drop its unlocked session check. This keeps the
session valid through both the frame construction and socket send.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5: Fix MCIA register buffer overflow on 32 dword reads
The MCIA register can return up to 32 dwords (128 bytes) when the device
advertises the mcia_32dwords capability, but struct
mlx5_ifc_mcia_reg_bits only defines dword_0..11, leaving room for just
12 dwords (48 bytes) of data.
mlx5_query_mcia() clamps the read size to mlx5_mcia_max_bytes() and then
memcpy()s that many bytes out of the register, potentially reading past
the end of the 'out' buffer. On kernels built with FORTIFY_SOURCE this
is caught as a buffer overflow while reading the module EEPROM via

CVEID: CVE-2026-73194
DESCRIPTION: DBI versions before 1.652 for Perl allow a heap out-of-bounds write via an unvalidated numeric placeholder that sets the binder counter in preparse.
preparse reserves seven output bytes per input byte, the width of the longest ':p99999' expansion. The ':N' branch parses the number with `atoi(src)` and assigns it to the binder counter with no range check, so a statement containing ':2147483648' leaves the counter negative (-2147483648 with glibc, where atoi wraps). Each following '?' then expands through `sprintf(start, ":p%d", idx++)` to ':p-2147483648', 14 bytes with the terminating NUL where the buffer budgets 7. The placeholder limit added in 1.650 tests the counter against 99,999, which a negative counter passes.
Any caller that preparses an untrusted statement into ':pN' style placeholders gets a heap out-of-bounds write that grows with the number of '?' marks following the poisoned placeholder. The '?' and '%s' return styles compare the parsed number against the expected sequence and error out, and are unaffected.

DESCRIPTION: In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, several password-based key derivation entry points ran the KDF with cost parameters taken from the untrusted input being processed, without bounding them, so a small input could dictate an arbitrary amount of work before any password or integrity check could reject it. The affected paths are the RFC 9579 PBMAC1 MAC calculator builders, which took the PBKDF2 iteration count and derived-key length straight out of PBMAC1Params (JcePBMac1CalculatorBuilder, and PKCS12PBEUtils.createPBMac1Calculator reached from PKCS12PfxPdu.isMacValid); the scrypt parallelization parameter p in the PKCS#8 and PKCS#12 cost guards, which bounded only the cost parameter N and the block size r even though the scratch buffer scales with r times p, so the configured memory ceiling could be evaded entirely; the raw JCA PBKDF2 provider (org.bouncycastle.jcajce.provider.symmetric.PBEPBKDF2); and the bcrypt round count read from an encrypted OpenSSH v1 private key's own kdfoptions. Each now bounds the parameter before deriving, in line with the caps already applied elsewhere in the tree, with the OpenSSH round count configurable through the new org.bouncycastle.openssh.max_rounds property. This completes the bounding begun in 1.85 for the PKCS#8 / PBES2 decryptors (CVE-2026-15055). This issue also affects Bouncy Castle for Java LTS before 2.73.13, and Bouncy Castle for Java FIPS (BC-FJA) before bcpkix-fips 1.0.13 (1.0.X series), 2.0.13 (2.0.X series) and 2.1.13 (2.1.X series).

DESCRIPTION: In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, NTRU reduced secret values with the % operator in three helpers whose reference implementations are deliberately division-free, so each reduction was carried out by an integer division whose latency depends on the secret operand. Polynomial.modQ divided by a variable divisor, which a compiler cannot strength-reduce to a multiply the way it can a constant one, so it emitted a division on every call including on the decapsulation path where the dividend derives from the private key; Polynomial.mod3 and NTRUSampling.mod3 divided the secret key polynomials f and g during key generation, the message polynomials r and m during encapsulation, and coefficients recovered during decapsulation. An attacker able to measure that timing can recover information about the NTRU private key. modQ now masks, which is exact because q is always a power of two, and mod3 uses the reference implementation's division-free fold and select; the results are unchanged.

CVEID: CVE-2026-64102
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/siw: Reject MPA FPDU length underflow before signed receive math
A malicious connected siw peer can send an iWARP FPDU whose MPA length
field (c_hdr-mpa_len, 16 bit big-endian, peer-controlled) is smaller
than the fixed DDP/RDMAP header for the announced opcode. Soft-iWARP
parses the full header in siw_get_hdr() based on iwarp_pktinfo[opcode]
.hdr_len, but never compares mpa_len against that header length.
siw_tcp_rx_data() then derives
srx-fpdu_part_rem = be16_to_cpu(mpa_len) - fpdu_part_rcvd
+ MPA_HDR_SIZE;
where fpdu_part_rcvd equals iwarp_pktinfo[opcode].hdr_len at this
point. For a tagged WRITE (hdr_len 16, MPA_HDR_SIZE 2) the smallest
on-wire mpa_len of 0 yields fpdu_part_rem = -14, and any mpa_len below
hdr_len - MPA_HDR_SIZE underflows to a negative int.
The signed value then flows into siw_proc_write()/siw_proc_rresp() as
bytes = min(srx-fpdu_part_rem, srx-skb_new);
is handed to siw_check_mem() as an int len (whose interval check
addr + len mem-va + mem-len is satisfied for a valid base when
len is negative), and reaches siw_rx_data() - siw_rx_kva() /
siw_rx_umem() - skb_copy_bits() as a signed copy length. The header
copy branch in skb_copy_bits() promotes that to size_t, producing a
multi-gigabyte read.
KASAN under a KUnit harness that drives the real kernel TCP receive

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vmxnet3: fix BUG_ON in vmxnet3_get_hdr_len() for Geneve packets
vmxnet3_get_hdr_len() assumes gdesc-rcd.v4/v6/tcp always describe the
outer header, but for a Geneve-encapsulated packet the device can set
them based on the inner header instead, signalled by the
VMXNET3_RCD_HDR_INNER_SHIFT bit in the completion descriptor. Since the
function never skips the outer encapsulation, this mismatch triggers:
- BUG_ON(hdr.ipv4-protocol != IPPROTO_TCP), because the outer
protocol is UDP (Geneve), not TCP.
- BUG_ON(hdr.eth-h_proto != ...), when the tunnel's outer and inner
IP versions differ (e.g. outer IPv6/inner IPv4 or vice versa).
Check VMXNET3_RCD_HDR_INNER_SHIFT up front and bail out, since the
function cannot locate the inner header it would need to parse. Also
convert the remaining BUG_ON()s in this function to return 0
defensively.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/liquidio: drop cached VF pci_dev LUT
The PF SR-IOV enable path caches VF pci_dev pointers in
dpiring_to_vfpcidev_lut[] by iterating with pci_get_device(). Those
entries do not own a reference, because the iterator drops the previous
device reference on each step. The cached pointer is then dereferenced
later when handling OCTEON_VF_FLR_REQUEST.
Replace the cached VF mapping with runtime lookup on the mailbox DPI
ring: derive the VF index from q_no, resolve the VF via exported PCI
IOV helpers, validate it with the PF pointer and VF ID, then issue
pcie_flr() and drop the reference with pci_dev_put(). Remove the
unused VF lookup table initialization and cleanup.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: Fix fence put before wait in amdgpu_amdkfd_submit_ib
amdgpu_amdkfd_submit_ib() submits a GPU job and gets a fence
from amdgpu_ib_schedule(). This fence is used to wait for job
completion.
Currently, the code drops the fence reference using dma_fence_put()
before calling dma_fence_wait().
If dma_fence_put() releases the last reference, the fence may be
freed before dma_fence_wait() is called. This can lead to a
use-after-free.
Fix this by waiting on the fence first and releasing the reference
only after dma_fence_wait() completes.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_queue: hold bridge skb-dev while queued
br_pass_frame_up() rewrites skb-dev from the ingress port to the bridge
master before queueing bridge LOCAL_IN packets. NFQUEUE only holds
references on state.in/out and bridge physdevs, so a queued bridge
packet can retain a freed bridge master in skb-dev until reinjection.
When the verdict is reinjected later, br_netif_receive_skb() re-enters
the receive path with skb-dev still pointing at the freed bridge master,
triggering a use-after-free.
Store skb-dev in the queue entry, hold a reference on it for the queue
lifetime, and use the saved device when dropping queued packets during
NETDEV_DOWN handling.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pppoe: reload header pointer after dev_hard_header()
pppoe_sendmsg() saves a pointer to the PPPoE header before calling
dev_hard_header(). Device header callbacks are allowed to reallocate the
skb head, invalidating pointers into it.
This can happen when a send is blocked in copy_from_user() while the first
non-Ethernet port is added to an empty team device. The team's delegated
GRE header callback then expands the skb head. PPPoE subsequently writes
six bytes through the stale pointer into the freed head.
Reload the PPPoE header through the skb's network-header offset after
device header creation. pskb_expand_head() updates that offset when it
relocates the head.

Synced connections can be created before their destination exists. When

IP_VS_CONN_F_ONE_PACKET connections are not synced. If a synced

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme-tcp: reject a read that transferred too few bytes
nvme_tcp_recv_data() completes a request once the current C2HData PDU
has been consumed. Nothing compares the total bytes received against
the length the command asked for: struct nvme_tcp_request has no
receive-side counter, queue-data_remaining is per queue, and
blk_mq_end_request() completes for blk_rq_bytes(rq) unconditionally
with no residual concept anywhere above.
A controller can therefore answer a 4096-byte read with 512 bytes and
have it reported as a complete read; user space then gets 4096 bytes of
which 3584 are whatever was already in the page. I reproduced that with
a test target.
Count the bytes received and refuse to complete a successful read whose
count does not match, at the two NVME_TCP_F_DATA_SUCCESS paths and in
nvme_tcp_process_nvme_cqe(). The success test shifts req-status right
by one, because the driver keeps the wire value there and shifts it on
completion, so the check must see what the completion path will see.
Only REQ_OP_READ is checked, because there the length comes from the
sectors the request covers; a passthrough command is built by its
submitter, which picks both command and buffer, so the kernel has
nothing to compare against.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme-pci: fix mempool alloc size
Convert the max size to bytes to match the units of the divisor that
calculates the worst-case number of PRP entries.
The result is used to determine how many PRP Lists are required. The

worst case. In that scenario, the driver would corrupt memory beyond the
size provided by the mempool.

CVEID: CVE-2025-39994
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: tuner: xc5000: Fix use-after-free in xc5000_release
The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in xc5000_release(), which
does not guarantee that the delayed work item timer_sleep has fully
completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios
where xc5000_release() may free the xc5000_priv while timer_sleep is still
active and attempts to dereference the xc5000_priv.
A typical race condition is illustrated below:
CPU 0 (release thread) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback)
xc5000_release() | xc5000_do_timer_sleep()
cancel_delayed_work() |
hybrid_tuner_release_state(priv) |
kfree(priv) |
| priv = container_of() // UAF
Replace cancel_delayed_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure
that the timer_sleep is properly canceled before the xc5000_priv memory
is deallocated.
A deadlock concern was considered: xc5000_release() is called in a process
context and is not holding any locks that the timer_sleep work item might
also need. Therefore, the use of the _sync() variant is safe here.
This bug was initially identified through static analysis.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/uverbs: Validate wqe_size before using it in ib_uverbs_post_send
ib_uverbs_post_send() uses cmd.wqe_size from userspace without any
validation before passing it to kmalloc() and using the allocated
buffer as struct ib_uverbs_send_wr.
If a user provides a small wqe_size value (e.g., 1), kmalloc() will
succeed, but subsequent accesses to user_wr-opcode, user_wr-num_sge,
and other fields will read beyond the allocated buffer, resulting in
an out-of-bounds read from kernel heap memory. This could potentially
leak sensitive kernel information to userspace.
Additionally, providing an excessively large wqe_size can trigger a
WARNING in the memory allocation path, as reported by syzkaller.
This is inconsistent with ib_uverbs_unmarshall_recv() which properly
validates that wqe_size = sizeof(struct ib_uverbs_recv_wr) before
proceeding.
Add the same validation for ib_uverbs_post_send() to ensure wqe_size
is at least sizeof(struct ib_uverbs_send_wr).

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: act_ct: Only release RCU read lock after ct_ft
When looking up a flow table in act_ct in tcf_ct_flow_table_get(),
rhashtable_lookup_fast() internally opens and closes an RCU read critical
section before returning ct_ft.
The tcf_ct_flow_table_cleanup_work() can complete before refcount_inc_not_zero()
is invoked on the returned ct_ft resulting in a UAF on the already freed ct_ft
object. This vulnerability can lead to privilege escalation.
Analysis from zdi-disclosures@trendmicro.com:
When initializing act_ct, tcf_ct_init() is called, which internally triggers
tcf_ct_flow_table_get().
static int tcf_ct_flow_table_get(struct net *net, struct tcf_ct_params *params)
{
struct zones_ht_key key = { .net = net, .zone = params-zone };
struct tcf_ct_flow_table *ct_ft;
int err = -ENOMEM;
mutex_lock(&zones_mutex);
ct_ft = rhashtable_lookup_fast(&zones_ht, &key, zones_params); // [1]
if (ct_ft && refcount_inc_not_zero(&ct_ft-ref)) // [2]
goto out_unlock;
...
}
static __always_inline void *rhashtable_lookup_fast(
struct rhashtable *ht, const void *key,
const struct rhashtable_params params)
{
void *obj;
rcu_read_lock();
obj = rhashtable_lookup(ht, key, params);
rcu_read_unlock();
return obj;
}
At [1], rhashtable_lookup_fast() looks up and returns the corresponding ct_ft
from zones_ht . The lookup is performed within an RCU read critical section
through rcu_read_lock() / rcu_read_unlock(), which prevents the object from
being freed. However, at the point of function return, rcu_read_unlock() has
already been called, and there is nothing preventing ct_ft from being freed
before reaching refcount_inc_not_zero(&ct_ft-ref) at [2]. This interval becomes
the race window, during which ct_ft can be freed.
Free Process:
tcf_ct_flow_table_put() is executed through the path tcf_ct_cleanup() call_rcu()
tcf_ct_params_free_rcu() tcf_ct_params_free() tcf_ct_flow_table_put().
static void tcf_ct_flow_table_put(struct tcf_ct_flow_table *ct_ft)
{
if (refcount_dec_and_test(&ct_ft-ref)) {
rhashtable_remove_fast(&zones_ht, &ct_ft-node, zones_params);
INIT_RCU_WORK(&ct_ft-rwork, tcf_ct_flow_table_cleanup_work); // [3]
queue_rcu_work(act_ct_wq, &ct_ft-rwork);
}
}
At [3], tcf_ct_flow_table_cleanup_work() is scheduled as RCU work
static void tcf_ct_flow_table_cleanup_work(struct work_struct *work)
{
struct tcf_ct_flow_table *ct_ft;

WARN_ON(!list_empty(&block-cb_list));
up_write(&ct_ft-nf_ft.flow_block_lock);
kfree(ct_ft); // [4]
module_put(THIS_MODULE);
}
tcf_ct_flow_table_cleanup_work() frees ct_ft at [4]. When this function executes
between [1] and [2], UAF occurs.
This race condition has a very short race window, making it generally
difficult to trigger. Therefore, to trigger the vulnerability an msleep(100) was
inserted after[1]

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gfs2: add some missing log locking
Function gfs2_logd() calls the log flushing functions gfs2_ail1_start(),
gfs2_ail1_wait(), and gfs2_ail1_empty() without holding sdp-sd_log_flush_lock,
but these functions require exclusion against concurrent transactions.
To fix that, add a non-locking __gfs2_log_flush() function. Then, in
gfs2_logd(), take sdp-sd_log_flush_lock before calling the above mentioned log
flushing functions and __gfs2_log_flush().

Fix by querying the vport's own HCA caps to size the buffer correctly.
Refactor the function to allocate and return the MAC list internally,
removing the caller's dependency on knowing the correct max.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipvs: clear the svc scheduler ptr early on edit
ip_vs_edit_service() while unbinding the old scheduler clears
the svc-scheduler ptr after the scheduler module initiates
RCU callbacks. This can cause packets to use the old
scheduler at the time when svc-sched_data is already freed
after RCU grace period.
Fix it by clearing the ptr early in ip_vs_unbind_scheduler(),
before the done_service method schedules any RCU callbacks.
Also, if the new scheduler fails to initialize when replacing
the old scheduler, try to restore the old scheduler while still
returning the error code.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SVM: Fix page overflow in sev_dbg_crypt() for ENCRYPT path
In sev_dbg_crypt(), the per-iteration transfer length is bounded by
the source page offset (PAGE_SIZE - s_off) but not by the destination
page offset (PAGE_SIZE - d_off). When d_off s_off, the encrypt
path (__sev_dbg_encrypt_user) performs a read-modify-write using a
single-page intermediate buffer (dst_tpage):
1. __sev_dbg_decrypt() expands the size to round_up(len + (d_off & 15), 16)
before issuing the PSP command. If len + (d_off & 15) PAGE_SIZE,
the PSP writes beyond the end of the 4096-byte dst_tpage allocation.
2. The subsequent memcpy()/copy_from_user() into
page_address(dst_tpage) + (d_off & 15) of 'len' bytes overflows
by up to 15 bytes under the same condition.
Trigger example: s_off = 0, d_off = 1, debug.len = PAGE_SIZE -
the PSP is instructed to write round_up(4097, 16) = 4112 bytes to
a 4096-byte buffer.
Fix by also bounding len by (PAGE_SIZE - d_off), the same check that
sev_send_update_data() already performs for its single-page guest
region.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ip_gre: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink
A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and
the tunnel link netns t-net. They differ once the device is created in
or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl
changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a
caller privileged there but not in t-net can rewrite a tunnel that
lives in t-net.
Add rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() next to rtnl_get_net_ns_capable() in
net/core/rtnetlink.c. It requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the link netns and is
skipped when the link netns is dev_net(dev), where the rtnl path already
checked it. The other patches in this series use the same helper.
Gate ipgre_changelink() and erspan_changelink() with it, at the top of
the op before any attribute is parsed, because the parsers update live
tunnel fields first. ipgre_netlink_parms() sets t-collect_md before
ip_tunnel_changelink() runs.
Commit 8b484efd5cb4 ("ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in
vti6_siocdevprivate().") added the same check on the ioctl path. This
adds it on RTM_NEWLINK.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vxlan: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink
A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and
the sticky underlay netns vxlan-net. They differ once the device is
created in or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in.
The rtnl changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev),
so a caller privileged there but not in vxlan-net can rewrite a vxlan
device whose underlay lives in vxlan-net.
vxlan_changelink() validates and applies the new configuration against
vxlan-net (vxlan_config_validate(vxlan-net, ...)) and can reopen the
underlay socket in that netns, so the same reasoning as the tunnel
changelink series applies here.
Gate vxlan_changelink() with rtnl_dev_link_net_capable(), at the top of
the op before any attribute is parsed, matching ipgre_changelink() and
the rest of the "require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for
changelink" series.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_queue: pin bridge device while NFQUEUE holds fake dst
The br_netfilter fake rtable is embedded in struct net_bridge and is
attached to bridged packets with skb_dst_set_noref(). If such a packet is
queued to NFQUEUE, __nf_queue() upgrades that fake dst with
skb_dst_force().
At that point the queued skb can hold a real dst reference after bridge
teardown has started. The problem is not that every bridged packet needs
its own dst reference. The problem is that NFQUEUE can keep the bridge
private fake dst alive after unregister begins.
Fix this by keeping the bridge fake dst model unchanged and pinning the
bridge master device only while the packet sits in NFQUEUE. Record the
bridge device in nf_queue_entry when the queued skb carries a bridge fake
dst, take a device reference for the queue lifetime, and drop it when the
queue entry is freed.
Also make sure queued entries are reaped when that bridge device goes
down, and drop the redundant nf_bridge_info_exists() test from the fake
dst detection.
This keeps netdev_priv(br-dev) alive until verdict completion, so the
embedded fake rtable and its metrics backing storage cannot be freed out
from under dst_release(). It also avoids the constant refcount bump and
avoids using ipv4-specific dst helpers for IPv6 bridge traffic.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SVM: Update x2APIC MSR intercepts if AVIC is inhibited while L2 is active
Always update x2APIC MSR intercepts for L1 when AVIC is deactivated, even
if L2 is active and KVM is using a separate MSR bitmap to run L2. If AVIC
is fully enabled prior to running L2, and is then inhibited while L2 is
active (for a VM-scoped inhibit), then KVM will run L1 with AVIC disabled,
but with x2APIC MSR intercepts disabled, i.e. will allow L1 to read most of
the host's APIC state, send arbitrary interrupts, change task priority, and
ultimately trivially DoS the host.
E.g. sending a self-IPI in L1 on HYPERV_REENLIGHTENMENT_VECTOR, 0xee, with
CONFIG_HYPERV=n in the host kernel as a "safe" PoC, yields:
Spurious interrupt (vector 0xee) on CPU#425. Acked
And hacking KVM to abuse kvm_set_posted_intr_wakeup_handler() to register a
handler and WARN on POSTED_INTR_WAKEUP_VECTOR yields:

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_conntrack_sip: widen NAT rewrite delta to s32 in sip_help_tcp()
sip_help_tcp() stores the size change of each NAT-rewritten SIP message
in s16 diff and accumulates it in s16 tdiff, but a single message can
grow by more than S16_MAX while the packet stays under the 65535
enlarge_skb() limit: nf_nat_sip() rewrites every matching URI, and a long
Contact list expands the message by tens of kilobytes. diff then wraps,
and "datalen = datalen + diff - msglen" yields a huge unsigned datalen,
so the next iteration's ct_sip_get_header() reads past the linearized skb
tail.
Widen diff, tdiff and the seq_adjust hook to s32. Both are bounded by the
65535 byte packet limit, and the seqadj core is already s32
(nf_ct_seqadj_set() takes s32), so no previously accepted input is
rejected.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipvs: clear IPv4 options after rebasing tunnel ICMP errors
ip_vs_in_icmp() rebases an skb from the outer ICMP packet to the
quoted original request before passing it to icmp_send(). However,
IPCB(skb)-opt still describes the outer IPv4 header.
A timestamp option in the outer header can therefore leave an offset
that points into the quoted transport header after the rebase.
__ip_options_echo() treats a byte at that stale location as the option
length and copies it into the fixed-size option storage on the
__icmp_send() stack, causing a stack out-of-bounds write.
Clear the stale option metadata after resetting the network header.
Keep the remaining control block fields, including the ingress
interface used by the ICMP response path.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipvlan: inherit needed_headroom and needed_tailroom from phy_dev
ipvlan devices inherit hard_header_len from phy_dev during ipvlan_init(),
but leave needed_headroom and needed_tailroom set to 0.
When the underlying phy_dev (or stacked lower device) requires extra headroom
or tailroom for headers/trailers (e.g. macsec, ipsec, wireguard, tunnels, or
veth with rx headroom), upper layers calculating packet headroom and tailroom
fail to reserve sufficient space.
This can result in reallocation overhead, skb headroom underflows, or KASAN
slab-use-after-free crashes when dev_hard_header() / ipvlan_hard_header()
prepends header data or when lower devices append tailroom.
Fix this by:
1. Inheriting needed_headroom and needed_tailroom from phy_dev in ipvlan_init().
2. Propagating needed_headroom and needed_tailroom updates to attached ipvlans
in ipvlan_device_event() when receiving NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE events.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme-tcp: fix host memory disclosure on R2T for a read command
nvme_tcp_handle_r2t() does not check the direction of the request the
R2T refers to. A malicious controller can send an R2T for a READ and
the host will answer it: nvme_tcp_setup_h2c_data_pdu() builds the
H2CData header and nvme_tcp_try_send_data() sends the request's data
buffer. That buffer is the READ destination, so its contents go to the
controller.
The command then completes normally and nothing is logged.
Against a test controller that answers every READ with an R2T, a 4096
byte buffered read returned all 4096 bytes, split over two R2Ts. The
pages contained stale kernel data, including an array of struct page
pointers.

DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme: add missing SRCU grace period in error path
nvme_alloc_ns() error path at out_unlink_ns removes ns from the

does not wait for SRCU readers before freeing the namespace struct.
Multipath code iterates the head-list under srcu_read_lock() in
nvme_find_path() and nvme_mpath_revalidate_paths(), so a concurrent
reader can still hold a reference to ns when kfree(ns) runs.
The normal removal path in nvme_ns_remove() correctly calls

in-progress readers. Add the same grace period in the error path.

Unlike IO_CMD / IO64_CMD, NVME_IOCTL_SUBMIT_IO never calls
nvme_cmd_allowed(). Unprivileged callers can thus issue I/O on a
partition device or write through a read-only file descriptor.
Pass flags and open_for_write through and reject disallowed commands
with -EACCES.

CVEID: CVE-2026-97417
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_conntrack: use get_unaligned_be32() in tcp_sack()
The timestamp-only fast path dereferences the option stream as
*(__be32 *)ptr, which assumes 4-byte alignment that the TCP option
stream does not guarantee. Use get_unaligned_be32() instead, which
reads the value safely and already returns host byte order, so the
htonl() on the comparison constant can be dropped.
This matches the existing get_unaligned_be32() use later in the same
function.

DESCRIPTION: rsync before 3.5.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows remote clients to access files outside the intended module root when use chroot is disabled and the module root path or a component of it is a symlink. The daemon calls chdir() to the module root at session initialization without resolving symlinks via realpath() or equivalent, causing subsequent relative-path operations to reference files relative to the symlink target rather than the intended module root, enabling unauthorized file access.

DESCRIPTION: rsync 3.1.0 before 3.5.0 contains an authorization bypass in auth users directive parsing. The auth users parser uses comma-only tokenization when splitting the user list, which fails to correctly handle entries of the form @Group Name where the group name contains a space. The space within the group name causes the parser to split the entry at the space boundary, discarding the deny rule associated with the group. An authenticated user whose username or group membership would be denied by an @Group Name auth users entry can connect to a restricted module because the deny rule is silently discarded during parsing.

CVEID: CVE-2026-64115
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock/vmci: fix UAF when peer resets connection during handshake
vmci_transport_recv_connecting_server() returned err = 0 for a peer
RST in its default switch arm:
err = pkt-type == VMCI_TRANSPORT_PACKET_TYPE_RST ? 0 : -EINVAL;
That made vmci_transport_recv_listen() skip vsock_remove_pending(),
leaving the pending socket on the listener's pending_links with
sk_state = TCP_CLOSE while destroy: still dropped the explicit
reference taken before schedule_delayed_work().
One second later vsock_pending_work() observed is_pending=true and
performed full cleanup: vsock_remove_pending() then the two trailing
sock_put(sk) calls -- the first reached refcount 0 and __sk_freed
the socket, and the second wrote into the freed object:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in refcount_warn_saturate
Write of size 4 at addr ffff88800b1cac80 by task kworker
Workqueue: events vsock_pending_work
Treat peer RST like any other unexpected packet type (err = -EINVAL).
All destroy: arms now return err 0, so vmci_transport_recv_listen()
removes pending from pending_links synchronously and
vsock_pending_work() takes the is_pending=false / !rejected branch,
dropping only its own work reference. This also closes the
multi-packet race Sashiko reported on v2: pending is removed from
the list before any subsequent packet can find it.
The pre-existing sk_acceptq_removed() gap on the err 0 path of
vmci_transport_recv_listen() that Sashiko also noted is not
introduced or changed by this patch.
Tested on lts-6.12.79 with KASAN: 52/100 unpatched - 0/100 patched.

CVEID: CVE-2026-74582
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
packet: use consistent hard_header_len in non-ring send paths
packet_snd() reads dev-hard_header_len multiple times while allocating
and constructing an skb. Device reconfiguration can change this value
concurrently, for example through bonding device type changes.
For SOCK_RAW, packet_snd() can save a larger value in reserve and later
allocate headroom using a smaller value. Moving skb-data back by reserve
then places it before skb-head, and the following copy from userspace can
attempt an out-of-bounds write.
packet_sendmsg_spkt() has the same issue because it calculates its
reservation and header offset from separate reads before dropping the RCU
read lock to allocate the skb.
Add LL_RESERVED_SPACE_EX() for callers that already saved a header length.
Read hard_header_len once in packet_snd() and use it for allocation and
construction. In packet_sendmsg_spkt(), preserve the allocation-time value
through the device lookup retry.
The separate SOCK_DGRAM consistency problem between hard_header_len and
header_ops-create is not addressed here.

CVEID: CVE-2026-89530
DESCRIPTION: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
svcrdma: Reject inline replies that overflow the pull-up buffer
An RPC-over-RDMA client can request a reply, such as an NFS READ
payload, without providing a Write list or a Reply chunk to carry
it. When such a reply needs more scatter/gather entries than the
device's Send Queue supports, svc_rdma_pull_up_needed() selects
pull-up and svc_rdma_pull_up_reply_msg() linearizes the whole
reply into sctxt-sc_xprt_buf. That buffer is only sc_max_req_size
bytes, while the reply on this path is bounded only by the client's
request, so svc_rdma_xb_linearize() copies past the end of the
buffer and corrupts adjacent slab memory. The oversized length is
then stored in sc_sges[0].length and posted, so the device also
reads beyond the mapped region.
The SGE-exhaustion branch is the only pull-up path that can exceed
the buffer: the threshold branch pulls up only replies smaller
than RPCRDMA_PULLUP_THRESH, and replies that fit the device's SGE
budget are sent directly without linearization. Make
svc_rdma_pull_up_needed() report -E2BIG when the reply it would
pull up cannot fit sc_max_req_size, and fail the request with
ERR_CHUNK as RFC 8166 Section 4.5.3 directs rather than dropping
the connection.
The helper no longer answers a simple yes/no question: it now
reports pull-up, no pull-up, or -E2BIG for a reply too large to
linearize. Rename svc_rdma_pull_up_needed() to
svc_rdma_check_pull_up() so its name no longer implies a boolean
predicate.

DESCRIPTION: The non-blocking (async) JSON parser in jackson-core bypasses the maxNumberLength constraint (default: 1000 characters) defined in StreamReadConstraints. This allows an attacker to send JSON with arbitrarily long numbers through the async parser API, leading to excessive memory allocation and potential CPU exhaustion, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). The standard synchronous parser correctly enforces this limit, but the async parser fails to do so, creating an inconsistent enforcement policy. WS-2026-0003 was later assigned CVE-2026-18401.
