Vulnerability Details
CVEID: CVE-2026-45820
DESCRIPTION: fflate through 0.8.2 is vulnerable to denial of service via an infinite loop in unzipSync(). A crafted ZIP archive with a central directory entry declaring compressed_size=0xFFFFFFFF (ZIP64 sentinel) but missing the required ZIP64 extra field tag 0x0001 causes z64e() to loop indefinitely due to out-of-bounds reads returning undefined, which coerces to 0, keeping the loop condition permanently true.

CVEID: CVE-2026-58471
DESCRIPTION: GNU Wget through 1.25.0, fixed in commit c2640fe, contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the convert_fname() function within src/url.c that allows remote attackers to trigger memory corruption through a server-supplied filename requiring character set conversion. When the output buffer is too small during iconv E2BIG reallocation, the reallocation logic miscalculates the remaining space, leading to a heap buffer overflow that can be exploited via a maliciously crafted server response.
CWE: CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow
CVSS Source: NVD
CVSS Base score: 7.1
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-71513
DESCRIPTION: NLTK before 3.10.3 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in AllowlistUnpickler that validates only the pickle module string and not the global name, allowing attackers to resolve dotted names by attribute traversal to callables outside the allowlisted namespace. Attackers can craft untrusted transition-parser models that execute arbitrary commands when TransitionParser.parse loads the model through allowlisted_pickle_load.
CWE: CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 8.8
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-78680
DESCRIPTION: NLTK versions before 3.10.3 fail to use validated absolute paths when invoking the Graphviz dot binary in dependencygraph.dot2img and AlignedSent._repr_svg_, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code by placing a malicious dot binary in the search path or current working directory. Attackers can exploit bare-name binary resolution on Windows via the current working directory or on Unix-like systems via relative PATH entries to execute their binary instead of the legitimate Graphviz tool.
CWE: CWE-426: Untrusted Search Path
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 7.8
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-78681
DESCRIPTION: NLTK versions before 3.10.3 use xml.etree.ElementTree to parse XML in multiple modules, which honors entity declarations in document DTDs. Attackers can craft XML payloads with nested entity declarations that expand from hundreds of bytes to megabytes in memory, causing denial of service.
CWE: CWE-776: Improper Restriction of Recursive Entity References in DTDs ('XML Entity Expansion')
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 7.5
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-71514
DESCRIPTION: NLTK 3.9.4 through 3.10.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in CrubadanCorpusReader. _load_lang_ngrams joins the corpus root with crubadan_code, the column-0 value read from the corpus table.txt mapping file, and opens the result with the builtin open() rather than the pathsec-validated opener, so os.path.join discards the root when that value is absolute and the read escapes the corpus directory without the containment check nltk.pathsec applies when ENFORCE is set. An attacker who controls a corpus package can disclose file contents outside the corpus root through lang_freq, limited to paths ending in -3grams.txt whose contents parse as token count lines.
CWE: CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVSS Source: NVD
CVSS Base score: 3.3
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N)
CVEID: CVE-2026-79674
DESCRIPTION: NLTK versions before 3.10.3 contain a path sandbox bypass vulnerability in corpus-reader constructors that allows attackers to read files outside the intended data root. Attackers can supply arbitrary corpus root paths to LinThesaurusCorpusReader and PanLexLiteCorpusReader constructors to access filesystem content and SQLite databases outside the pathsec sandbox boundary.
CWE: CWE-73: External Control of File Name or Path
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 8.2
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N)
CVEID: CVE-2026-79675
DESCRIPTION: NLTK before 3.10.3 fails to validate JVM options passed through the per-call options parameter in the java() function, allowing attackers to inject dangerous JVM flags. Attackers can supply malicious options like -agentpath, -javaagent, or @argfile to Stanford wrapper classes to achieve arbitrary code execution.
CWE: CWE-88: Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command ('Argument Injection')
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 9.8
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-81727
DESCRIPTION: NLTK versions before 3.10.3 contain a filesystem containment bypass vulnerability in the Downloader.download and Downloader.incr_download methods that allows attackers to overwrite files outside the install root through pre-existing hardlinks. Attackers with write access to a shared downloader directory can create hardlinks pointing to outside-root files that are then overwritten during normal package extraction, mutating files outside the intended install tree.
CWE: CWE-59: Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following')
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 7.1
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-45446
DESCRIPTION: Issue summary: The implementations of AES-SIV (RFC 5297) and AES-GCM-SIV
(RFC 8452) mishandle the authentication of AAD (Additional Authenticated
Data) with an empty ciphertext allowing a forgery of such messages.
Impact summary: An attacker can forge empty messages with arbitrary AAD
to the victim's application using these ciphers.
AES-SIV (RFC 5297) and AES-GCM-SIV (RFC 8452) are nonce-misuse-resistant AEAD
modes: they accept a key, nonce, optional AAD (bytes that are authenticated
but not encrypted), and plaintext, and produces ciphertext plus a 16-byte
tag. On decrypt, `EVP_DecryptFinal_ex()` is documented to return success only
if the tag is verified succesfully.
In OpenSSL's provider implementation of these ciphers, the expected tag is
computed only when decryption function is invoked with non-empty data.
If the caller supplies AAD and then calls `EVP_DecryptFinal_ex()` without
invocation of the ciphertext update, which can happen when the received
ciphertext length is zero, the tag is never recalculated and still holds its
all-zeros value.
When AES-GCM-SIV is used, an attacker who sends arbitrary AAD, empty
ciphertext, and all-zeros tag passes authentication under any key they do not
know, single-shot. When AES-SIV is used, for mounting the attack it's
necessary for the application to reuse the decryption context without
resetting the key.
AES-SIV is implemented since OpenSSL 3.0. AES-GCM-SIV is implemented since
OpenSSL 3.2.
No protocols implemented in OpenSSL itself (TLS/CMS/PKCS7/HPKE/QUIC) support
either AES-GCM-SIV or AES-SIV. To mount an attack, the applications must
implement their own protocol and use the EVP interface. Also they must skip the
ciphertext update when a message with an empty ciphertext arrives.
The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are not affected by this
issue, as these algorithms are not FIPS approved and the affected code is
outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.
CWE: CWE-325: Missing Cryptographic Step
CVSS Source: CISA ADP

CVEID: CVE-2026-81723
DESCRIPTION: NLTK versions before 3.10.3 contain a quadratic CPU exhaustion vulnerability in XMLCorpusView._read_xml_fragment() that rescans accumulated XML fragments on every 1 KiB block read. Attackers can provide malformed XML corpus files to cause severe CPU consumption and denial of service through affected readers like BNCCorpusReader.
CWE: CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 3.7
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L)
CVEID: CVE-2026-54905
DESCRIPTION: concurrent-ruby is a modern concurrency tools for Ruby. Prior to 1.3.7, Concurrent::ReentrantReadWriteLock can incorrectly grant a write lock after one thread acquires the read lock 32,768 times. The lock stores a thread's local read and write hold counts in one integer. The low 15 bits are used for the read hold count, and bit 15 is used as WRITE_LOCK_HELD. After 32,768 reentrant read acquisitions, the local read count crosses into the write-lock bit. try_write_lock then treats the thread as already holding a write lock and returns true without setting the global RUNNING_WRITER bit. This breaks the core mutual-exclusion guarantee: the caller is told it has a write lock, but other threads can still hold or acquire read locks at the same time. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.3.7.

CVEID: CVE-2026-81725
DESCRIPTION: NLTK before 3.10.3 contains a regular expression denial of service vulnerability in Pl196xCorpusReader that allows attackers to cause quadratic CPU consumption by supplying malformed TEI blocks with many unmatched opening tags. Attackers can exploit lazy regex patterns in the read_block method through public APIs like words() and tagged_words() to force repeated rescans and achieve near-quadratic runtime growth.

CVEID: CVE-2026-41680
DESCRIPTION: Marked is a markdown parser and compiler. From 18.0.0 to 18.0.1, a critical Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability exists in marked. By providing a specific 3-byte input sequence a tab, a vertical tab, and a newline (\x09\x0b\n)—an unauthenticated attacker can trigger an infinite recursion loop during parsing. This leads to unbounded memory allocation, causing the host Node.js application to crash via Memory Exhaustion (OOM). This vulnerability is fixed in 18.0.2.

CVEID: CVE-2026-59931
DESCRIPTION: PhpSpreadsheet is a pure PHP library for reading and writing spreadsheet files. In versions 4.0.0 through 5.8.0, 3.3.0 through 3.10.6, 2.2.0 through 2.4.6, 2.0.0 through 2.1.17, and all releases up to and including 1.30.5, the WEBSERVICE() domain whitelist can be bypassed via an HTTP redirect (SSRF). In Calculation/Web/Service.php, the webService() method validates a URL's host against the whitelist set via Spreadsheet::setDomainWhiteList(), then fetches content with file_get_contents($url, false, $ctx); because PHP's HTTP stream wrapper follows 301/302 redirects automatically (up to 20 hops) and the redirect target is never re-validated, an attacker who can trigger a redirect from a whitelisted domain can reach arbitrary URLs, including internal addresses. An attacker able to upload XLSX files to an application that uses setDomainWhiteList() and getCalculatedValue() can achieve a full-read SSRF, returning up to 32,767 bytes of the response body as a cell's calculated value, which enables exfiltration of cloud metadata (AWS/GCP/Azure credentials via http://169.254.169.254/), access to internal-only services, and internal port scanning (the port is not validated). This issue has been fixed in versions 5.8.1, 3.10.7, 2.4.7, 2.1.18, and 1.30.6.
CWE: CWE-918: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)
CVSS Source: security-advisories@github.com

CVEID: CVE-2026-59933
DESCRIPTION: PhpSpreadsheet is a pure PHP library for reading and writing spreadsheet files. In versions 4.0.0 through 5.8.0, 3.3.0 through 3.10.6, 2.2.0 through 2.4.6, 2.0.0 through 2.1.17, and all releases up to and including 1.30.5, the OLE reader follows sector chains from attacker-controlled XLS/OLE metadata without detecting cycles or enforcing a maximum chain length. A tiny malformed .xls/OLE file can set the small-block depot sector chain to point back to itself. During normal XLS detection, OLERead::read() appends the same sector data repeatedly until the PHP process exhausts memory. This is reachable from Reader\Xls::canRead() and therefore from automatic spreadsheet type detection. Applications that accept attacker-controlled spreadsheet uploads can suffer denial of service from a very small file. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.8.1, 3.10.7, 2.4.7, 2.1.18 and 1.30.6.

CVEID: CVE-2026-82392
DESCRIPTION: pnpm is a package manager. Prior to 10.34.5 and from 11.0.0 until 11.11.0, pnpm parses the package name from attacker-controlled pnpm-lock.yaml packages keys with dp.parse(depPath).name and uses it without validation in deps/graph-builder/src/lockfileToDepGraph.ts and pnpm11/deps/graph-builder/src/lockfileToDepGraph.ts. The name reaches path.join(modules, pkgName), storeController.importPackage, and pnpm11/lockfile/to-pnp/src/index.ts, allowing package contents to be written outside node_modules when a user runs pnpm install. When dangerouslyAllowAllBuilds or a matching allowBuilds entry permits lifecycle scripts, the escaped package can execute code with the user's privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 10.34.5 and 11.11.0.
CWE: CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVSS Source: security-advisories@github.com

CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:L)
CVEID: CVE-2026-82393
DESCRIPTION: pnpm is a package manager. Prior to 10.34.5 and 11.11.0, pnpm accepts a scoped path traversal in a tarball dependency's package.json manifest name because pnpm11/resolving/npm-resolver/src/pickPackage.ts rejects slash characters only for unscoped names. During pnpm install, the unvalidated name reaches raw path joins in pnpm11/installing/deps-resolver/src/resolvePeers.ts, pnpm11/installing/deps-resolver/src/index.ts, and pnpm11/deps/graph-builder/src/lockfileToDepGraph.ts, causing package extraction outside node_modules and allowing attacker-controlled files to overwrite arbitrary filesystem paths even when --ignore-scripts is used. The overwrite can replace shell startup files, Git hooks, or installed package code and lead to code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 10.34.5, and 11.11.0.

CVEID: CVE-2026-55973
DESCRIPTION: In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.23.0 up to and including 1.25.1, when 'dns-error-reporting: yes' is set, the EDNS Report-Channel option (code 18) from the last upstream response is read and uses the option's length as the length of the agent domain. When a domain name check is performed on the agent domain, the returned lenght is not used and if the agent domain is followed by garbage, those bytes are moved onto the tail of the synthetic '_er.' report query name. That query name is later used in the iterator via a subquery to send out the DNS Error Report and when Unbound tries to walk that query name during 'find_closest_of_type()', it strips labels using the query name length rather than stopping at the embedded root, walks one byte past it, and feeds the first garbage byte to 'dname_query_hash()' as a label length writing over the stack variable 'labuf'. One ordinary upstream response from a delegated zone the attacker controls is sufficient to terminate the daemon.

CVEID: CVE-2026-44705
DESCRIPTION: tmp is a temporary file and directory creator for node.js. Prior to 0.2.6, the tmp npm package contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows escaping the intended temporary directory when untrusted data flows into the prefix, postfix, or dir options. By embedding traversal sequences (e.g., ../) or path separators in these parameters, attackers can cause files to be created outside the configured temporary base directory at attacker-controlled locations with the privileges of the running process. This vulnerability affects applications that pass user-controlled data to tmp's file/directory creation functions without proper input sanitization. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.2.6.

CVEID: CVE-2026-44690
DESCRIPTION: In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.7.0 up to and including 1.25.1, insufficient validation of the RRSIG.Labels field combined with premature cache writes during RFC 8198 aggressive NSEC processing leads to cache poisoning that permits a malicious actor controlling a single delegated zone to poison arbitrary sibling zones under NSEC-signed parent domains. A malicious actor with one registered domain under an NSEC-signed TLD can serve malicious insecure DNS responses for unrelated sibling domains (sharing the same parent zone). Arbitrary delegations that do not exist under the parent domain and are covered by the parent's NSEC chain can be brought into insecure existence by fraudulent wildcard DS records (less labels than expected, unknown algorithm) from the malicious sibling domain. This allows the malicious actor to inject insecure wildcard records for those delegations.

CVEID: CVE-2026-69192
DESCRIPTION: ip-address is a library for parsing and manipulating IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in JavaScript. Prior to 10.3.1, Address4 accepts an octet written with a leading zero and decodes it as decimal, while the WHATWG URL host parser, inet_aton, and getaddrinfo all decode a leading zero as octal. The library and the network stack therefore disagree about which host a string names. new Address4('012.0.0.1') reports correctForm() of 12.0.0.1 and isPrivate() of false, but fetch('http://012.0.0.1/') connects to 10.0.0.1. An application that builds a network trust-boundary decision on these checks, for example a filter intended to block Server-Side Request Forgery, or SSRF, will classify an internal target as external and allow the request. The defect is in the parse gate rather than in any one classifier, so every consumer of Address4 inherits it: isPrivate(), isLoopback(), isLinkLocal(), isCGNAT(), isInSubnet(), isHostInSubnet(), and correctForm() are all computed from the mis-decoded octets. This issue is fixed in version 10.3.1.

CVEID: CVE-2026-69198
DESCRIPTION: ip-address is a library for parsing and manipulating IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in JavaScript. From 10.1.1 until 10.2.2, every special-use classification method is built on isInSubnet, which short-circuits to false whenever the address's own subnet mask is shorter than the reference range's mask. That mask comes verbatim from the CIDR suffix on the parsed input, so appending a suffix such as /0 suppresses classification entirely: isLoopback(), isPrivate(), isLinkLocal(), isCGNAT(), isMulticast(), isUnspecified(), isBroadcast(), isULA(), and getType() all report an internal address as unremarkable, while correctForm() and address still return the real internal target. An application that builds a network trust-boundary decision on these checks, for example a filter intended to block Server-Side Request Forgery, or SSRF, may therefore treat an internal target as external and allow the request. The underlying bit comparison is correct, and mask(n) already returns the first n bits of the full parsed address independently of subnetMask; the defect is solely that the containment guard sits in the classification path. This issue is fixed in version 10.2.2.

DESCRIPTION: guzzlehttp/guzzle versions before 7.15.1 contain an information disclosure vulnerability in RedirectMiddleware. When the optional allow_redirects.referer setting is enabled, the middleware copies the URI fragment (the portion after '#') from the referring request into the generated Referer header when following a same-scheme redirect (e.g., HTTPS to HTTPS). An attacker who controls the redirect destination can read this fragment from the incoming Referer header, potentially disclosing one-time login secrets, access tokens, state values, or other sensitive client data to a server never meant to receive it. The referer setting is disabled by default. Fixed in 7.15.1, which strips the fragment before generating the Referer value.

DESCRIPTION: crypto-js is a JavaScript library of crypto standards. Versions of crypto-js prior to 4.0.0 generate randomness in CryptoJS.lib.WordArray.random() using a custom variation of the Multiply-With-Carry pseudorandom number generator, seeded from Math.random(), instead of a cryptographically secure source. This generator was introduced in version 3.1.2-4 and remained present in nearly every 3.x release. Nominal requests for 128 or 256 bits of entropy through this function produce effective search spaces of approximately 2 to the 39th and 2 to the 47th possibilities, small enough to enumerate on commodity hardware. Downstream wallet applications that used CryptoJS.lib.WordArray.random() as the entropy source for BIP39 recovery phrases are affected, and an attacker who enumerates the reduced output space can recover the resulting private keys and control the associated funds. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0.

DESCRIPTION: joi is a schema description language and data validator for JavaScript. From 16.0.0 until 17.13.5 and 18.2.4, joi's lib/types/keys.js internals.rename() implementation used by object().rename() permits a schema that renames keys with a regular-expression source and a Joi.expression() or Joi.x() target that interpolates the pattern's own match data, combined with { multiple: true }, to derive a target from an attacker-controlled input key. An attacker can send x-__proto__ with an object value, causing the target to render as __proto__ and set the prototype of the object returned by validate() instead of creating an own key. The global Object.prototype is not modified, so the effect is confined to the object returned by that validation call. Static-string targets and schemas using the default { multiple: false } are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 17.13.5 and 18.2.4.

DESCRIPTION: joi is a schema description language and data validator for JavaScript. From 16.0.0 until 17.13.6 and 18.2.5, the @hapi/joi package through 17.1.1 and the successor joi package contain prototype pollution in lib/messages.js, where exports.compile() and exports.merge() reuse inherited objects for attacker-controlled language keys supplied through messages(), message(), prefs({ messages }), Joi.extend({ messages }), or rule({ message }). A language key named __proto__ writes properties onto Object.prototype, and constructor writes to the Object function's static properties. A consuming application that gates on the presence of an inherited property can take the wrong branch for every inspected object. The flaw is not reachable from data that joi validates and requires an application to feed untrusted input directly into schema-construction configuration. This issue is fixed in joi versions 17.13.6 and 18.2.5; no fixed @hapi/joi version is available.

DESCRIPTION: Issue summary: During processing of a crafted CMS EnvelopedData message
with KeyTransportRecipientInfo a NULL pointer dereference can happen.
Impact summary: Applications that process attacker-controlled CMS data may
crash before authentication or cryptographic operations occur resulting in
Denial of Service.
When a CMS EnvelopedData message that uses KeyTransportRecipientInfo with
RSA-OAEP encryption is processed, the optional parameters field of
RSA-OAEP SourceFunc algorithm identifier is examined without checking
for its presence. This results in a NULL pointer dereference if the field
is missing.
Applications and services that call CMS_decrypt() on untrusted input
(e.g., S/MIME processing or CMS-based protocols) are vulnerable.
The FIPS modules in 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3 and 3.0 are not affected by this
issue, as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

DESCRIPTION: Issue Summary: The PKCS#12 file processing fails to perform sufficient input
validation for files that use Password-Based Message Authentication Code 1
(PBMAC1) integrity mechanism allowing a certificate and private key forgery.
Impact Summary: An attacker impersonating a user can cause a service reading
PKCS#12 files to accept forged certificates and private keys with a 1 in 256
probability.
If a service accepting PKCS#12 files is using passwords for authenticating
the received files, the attacker can create unencrypted PKCS#12 files that
use PBMAC1 authentication that specifies an HMAC key of only one byte, allowing
them to craft a file that will be accepted with a 1 in 256 probability.
That would then cause the service to accept a certificate and private key
controlled by the attacker.
The FIPS modules are not affected by this issue, as the affected code is
outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

CVEID: CVE-2026-34182
DESCRIPTION: Issue Summary: Cryptographic Message Services (CMS) processing fails to perform
sufficient input validation on the cipher and tag length fields of
AuthEnvelopedData containers, leading to various potential compromises.
Impact Summary: Attackers making use of these vulnerabilities may achieve
key-equivalent functionality for a given CMS recipient and/or bypass integrity
validation for a given message.
In one use case, an attacker may send a CMS message containing
AuthEnvelopedData with the cipher specified as a non-AEAD cipher. OpenSSL
erroneously allows this selection, and attempts to decrypt and validate the
message.
An on-path attacker who captures one legitimate AES-GCM AuthEnvelopedData
addressed to the victim can re-emit it with the recipientInfos set left
byte-for-byte intact, so the victim's private key still unwraps the genuine CEK
(the content-encryption key), but with the inner OID rewritten to AES-256-OFB
(Output Feedback Mode, an unauthenticated keystream mode) and with an
attacker-chosen IV and ciphertext. The victim initializes AES-256-OFB under the
real CEK, never consults the MAC field, and CMS_decrypt() returns success.
If the application under attack responds to the attacker with any indicator
showing success or failure of the decryption effort, it is possible for the
attacker to use this as an oracle to obtain key equivalent functionality for the
CEK used for the chosen recipient of the message.
In another use case, an attacker can reduce the tag length of the chosen AEAD
cipher for a given AuthEnvelopedData container to be a single byte long,
allowing an attacker to brute force CMS decryption, producing an integrity
bypass for applications that trust CMS_decrypt() to reject modified content.
The FIPS modules are not affected by this issue.

DESCRIPTION: Issue summary: Remote peer may exhaust heap memory of the QUIC
server or client by flooding it with packets containing PATH_CHALLENGE
frames.
Impact summary: A malicious remote peer can cause an unbounded
memory allocation which can lead to an abnormal termination of the
application acting as a QUIC client or server and a Denial of Service.
A remote peer may exhaust heap memory by flooding the local
QUIC stack with PATH_CHALLENGE frames. The local QUIC stack
allocates a PATH_RESPONSE frame for every PATH_CHALLENGE it receives.
The allocated PATH_RESPONSE frame gets freed only when the remote
peer acknowledges reception of the PATH_RESPONSE frame which will
not be done by a malicious peer.

DESCRIPTION: Issue summary: Receiving a QUIC initial packet with an invalid token may
trigger a NULL pointer dereference in the OpenSSL QUIC server with
address validation disabled.
Impact summary: NULL pointer dereference typically causes abnormal termination
of the affected QUIC server process and a Denial of Service.
If the address validation is disabled in the OpenSSL QUIC server
implementation, an attacker can crash the server by sending an initial
packet with an invalid or expired token.
By default, the client address validation is enabled in the OpenSSL QUIC server
implementation, which makes the default configuration not vulnerable
to this issue. However if the SSL_LISTENER_FLAG_NO_VALIDATE is used with
the SSL_new_listener() call, the address validation is disabled making the
vulnerable code reachable.

DESCRIPTION: urllib3 is an HTTP client library for Python. From 2.6.0 to before 2.7.0, urllib3 could decompress the whole response instead of the requested portion (1) during the second HTTPResponse.read(amt=N) call when the response was decompressed using the official Brotli library or (2) when HTTPResponse.drain_conn() was called after the response had been read and decompressed partially (compression algorithm did not matter here). These issues could cause urllib3 to fully decode a small amount of highly compressed data in a single operation. This could result in excessive resource consumption (high CPU usage and massive memory allocation for the decompressed data) on the client side. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.0.

CVEID: CVE-2026-45445
DESCRIPTION: Issue summary: When an application drives an AES-OCB context through the
public EVP_Cipher() one-shot interface, the application-supplied
initialisation vector (IV) is silently discarded.
Impact summary: Every message encrypted under the same key uses the
same effective nonce regardless of the IV supplied by the caller,
resulting in (key, nonce) reuse and loss of confidentiality. If the
same code path is used to compute the authentication tag, the tag
depends only on the (key, IV) pair and not on the plaintext or
ciphertext, allowing universal forgery of arbitrary ciphertext from a
single captured message.
OpenSSL provides two ways to drive a cipher: the documented streaming
interface (EVP_CipherUpdate / EVP_CipherFinal_ex) and a lower-level
one-shot, EVP_Cipher(), whose documentation explicitly recommends
against use by applications in favour of EVP_CipherUpdate() and
EVP_CipherFinal_ex(). The OCB provider's streaming handler flushes
the application-supplied IV into the OCB context before processing
data; the one-shot handler did not. Every call to EVP_Cipher() on an
AES-OCB context therefore ran with the all-zero key-derived offset
state left by cipher initialisation, regardless of the caller's IV.
If EVP_EncryptFinal_ex() is subsequently used to obtain the
authentication tag, the deferred IV setup runs at that point and
clears the running checksum that should have been accumulated over the
plaintext. The resulting tag is a function of (key, IV) only and
verifies against any ciphertext produced under the same (key, IV)
pair.
The OpenSSL SSL/TLS implementation is not affected: AES-OCB is not a
TLS cipher suite, and libssl does not call EVP_Cipher() in any case.
Applications that drive AES-OCB through the documented streaming AEAD
API (EVP_CipherUpdate / EVP_CipherFinal_ex) are not affected. Only
applications that combine the AES-OCB cipher with the EVP_Cipher()
one-shot API are vulnerable.
The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4 and 3.0 are not affected by
this issue, as AES-OCB is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

CVEID: CVE-2026-45447
DESCRIPTION: Issue summary: A specially crafted PKCS#7 or S/MIME signed message could
trigger a use-after-free during PKCS#7 signature verification.
Impact summary: A use-after-free may result in process crashes, heap
corruption, or potentially remote code execution.
When processing a PKCS#7 or S/MIME signed message, if the SignedData
digestAlgorithms field is present as an empty ASN.1 SET, OpenSSL may
incorrectly free a caller-owned BIO during PKCS7_verify(). A subsequent
use of the BIO by the calling application results in a use-after-free
condition.
In the common case this occurs when the application later calls
BIO_free() on the BIO originally passed to PKCS7_verify(). Depending
on allocator behavior and application-specific BIO usage patterns, this
may result in a crash or other memory corruption. In some application
contexts this may potentially be exploitable for remote code execution.
Applications that process PKCS#7 or S/MIME signed messages using OpenSSL
PKCS#7 APIs may be affected. Applications using the CMS APIs for this
processing are not affected.
The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are not affected by this

DESCRIPTION: PHPUnit is a testing framework for PHP. In versions 12.5.21 and 13.1.5, PHPUnit forwards PHP INI settings to child processes (used for isolated/PHPT test execution) as -d name=value command-line arguments without neutralizing INI metacharacters. Because PHP's INI parser interprets " as a string delimiter, ; as the start of a comment, and most importantly a newline as a directive separator, a value containing a newline is parsed by the child process as multiple INI directives. An attacker able to influence a single INI value can therefore inject arbitrary additional directives into the child's configuration, including auto_prepend_file, extension, disable_functions, open_basedir, and others. Setting auto_prepend_file to an attacker-controlled path yields remote code execution in the child process. This issue has been patched in versions 12.5.22 and 13.1.6.

DESCRIPTION: fastify is a fast and low overhead web framework for Node.js. Impact: the fix for CVE-2026-3635 added a guard on the forwarded-header reads used to derive the request host, protocol, hostname, ip, and ips values, checking the connecting address. That guard closes the IP, CIDR, and custom-function forms of trustProxy correctly, because those forms compile to predicates that inspect the connecting address. The hop-count form, where trustProxy is set to a number, compiles to a predicate that structurally ignores the address, so the guard is always satisfied for any hop count of one or more. Applications configured with a numeric trustProxy value, such as trustProxy set to 1 for a single reverse proxy, remain vulnerable: an attacker who can reach the Fastify origin directly, bypassing the front-facing proxy, can spoof the forwarded request fields exactly as in the unpatched version. The impact class matches the parent CVE-2026-3635, including host injection in generated URLs, HTTPS-enforcement bypass, secure-cookie and CSRF-origin bypass, and host-based routing and cache poisoning. Affected versions are fastify from 5.8.3 up to but not including 5.12.1. Patches: patched in fastify 5.12.1, where the numeric form of trustProxy is disabled at runtime and removed from the TypeScript type union. Workarounds: migrate to an IP, CIDR, or custom-function trustProxy value that validates the connecting address, and ensure the Fastify origin is only reachable through the trusted proxy chain.

DESCRIPTION: fastify is a fast and low overhead web framework for Node.js. Versions of fastify before 5.12.1 are affected by a schema validation bypass when a request body schema targets a root primitive value. When the schema validates a top-level primitive such as an integer, Ajv can coerce a JSON string into the expected type during validation, but Fastify does not replace the root request body with the coerced value, so the route handler receives the original unvalidated string. As a result, a request that should have failed validation can reach application logic with a value that does not satisfy the schema, which can undermine integrity and access-control checks that rely on the validated type. Users should upgrade to fastify 5.12.1, which fixes the mismatch. No known workarounds are available.

The issue is caused by the interaction between AtomicReference#update, which retries until compare_and_set(old_value, new_value) succeeds; Numeric compare_and_set, which checks old == old_value before attempting the underlying atomic swap.; and Ruby NaN semantics, where Float::NAN == Float::NAN is always false. As a result, once an AtomicReference contains Float::NAN, calling #update repeatedly evaluates the caller's block and never returns. In services that store externally derived numeric values in an AtomicReference, this can cause CPU exhaustion or permanent request/job hangs. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.3.7.

DESCRIPTION: nltk versions before 3.10.2 contain a symlink-based arbitrary file read vulnerability in IPIPANCorpusReader methods that bypass nltk.pathsec validation entirely. Attackers can place a symlink in the corpus root directory and read arbitrary files accessible to the process by calling channels(), domains(), categories(), or fileids() methods with the symlink filename.

DESCRIPTION: Open Neural Network Exchange (ONNX) is an open standard for machine learning interoperability. From 1.9.0 before 1.22.0, onnx.version_converter.convert_version() can dereference a null pointer in Upsample_6_7::adapt_upsample_6_7() in onnx/version_converter/adapters/upsample_6_7.h when processing an untrusted model with an Upsample node that has zero inputs, causing an unrecoverable denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.22.0.

CVEID: CVE-2026-54906
DESCRIPTION: concurrent-ruby is a modern concurrency tools for Ruby. Prior to 1.3.7, Concurrent::ReadWriteLock#release_write_lock does not verify that the calling thread acquired the write lock. Any thread with access to the lock object can release an active write lock held by another thread. A second writer can then enter its critical section while the first writer is still running. Concurrent::ReadWriteLock#release_read_lock also decrements the shared counter even when no read lock is held. Calling it on a fresh lock changes the counter from 0 to -1, after which normal read acquisition raises Concurrent::ResourceLimitError. This is a synchronization correctness issue in the public Concurrent::ReadWriteLock API. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.3.7.

DESCRIPTION: PhpSpreadsheet is a pure PHP library for reading and writing spreadsheet files. In versions 4.0.0 through 5.8.0, 3.3.0 through 3.10.6, 2.2.0 through 2.4.6, 2.0.0 through 2.1.17, and all releases up to and including 1.30.5, the Gnumeric reader reads attacker-supplied .gnumeric files into memory and, when the file starts with gzip magic bytes, calls gzdecode() on the full compressed contents without enforcing a decompressed-size limit. A very small compressed .gnumeric file can expand to data larger than the PHP memory limit and crash the process during Gnumeric::canRead() before the file is rejected or fully parsed. This is reachable through normal file-type detection and Gnumeric loading paths, so applications that accept attacker-controlled spreadsheet uploads can suffer denial of service. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.8.1, 3.10.7, 2.4.7, 2.1.18 and 1.30.6.

CVEID: CVE-2026-88932
DESCRIPTION: multer is a Node.js middleware for handling multipart/form-data uploads. In versions 2.2.0 through 2.3.0, when a request using disk storage is aborted mid-upload, file writes that complete after multer has already run its abort cleanup are not removed, so each aborted upload can leave an orphaned file on disk. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly start and abort uploads to accumulate orphaned files and exhaust disk space, causing a denial of service. The issue is fixed in multer 2.4.0, and users should upgrade to 2.4.0 or later.

DESCRIPTION: NLTK versions before 3.10.3 contain a path traversal vulnerability in corpus readers that reopen root-derived paths using built-in open() instead of nltk.pathsec.open(), allowing symlinks to escape trusted roots. Attackers who stage symlinked corpus files under a trusted data root can disclose outside-root content through normal corpus reader methods like channels(), domains(), and synonyms().

CVEID: CVE-2026-42769
DESCRIPTION: Issue Summary: An error in the callback used to verify the certificate
provided in a Root CA key update Certificate Management Protocol (CMP)
message response rendered the certificate validation ineffectual, which
could lead to escalation of credentials from the Registration Authority (RA)
level to the root Certification Authority (root CA) level.
Impact Summary: The Registration Autority could replace the root CA
certificate for the CMP clients with an arbitrary root CA certificate.
One of the parts of the Certificate Management Protocol (CMP), specified in
RFC 9810, is Root Certification Authority (root CA) key Rollover,
which is sent by the server in a message with type 'id-it-rootCaKeyUpdate'.
As part of these messages, 'newWithOld' certificate, the new root CA
certificate signed with the old root CA key, is provided, and verifying its
signature is crucial for transferring the trust from the old CA key to the
new one.
The 'id-it-rootCaKeyUpdate' messages are expected to be processed with
OSSL_CMP_get1_rootCaKeyUpdate(), that is expected to verify the 'newWithOld'
certificate. A typo in the certificate chain building code led to adding
an incorrect certificate ('newWithOld' instead of 'oldRoot') to the
certificate chain, rendering the certificate verification process ineffectual
(only the issuer name and the algorithm OIDs were verified by other parts
of the verification code).
An attacker who already has credentials that satisfy the CMP message
protection checks can generate a new key pair and use a crafted self-signed
certificate in its 'id-it-rootCaKeyUpdate' CMP messages which affected CMP
clients would accept as a new trust anchor.
Significant preconditions for the attack (having valid RA-level credentials)
are the reason the issue was assigned Low severity.
The FIPS modules are not affected by this issue, as the affected code is
outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

CVEID: CVE-2026-78682
DESCRIPTION: NLTK before 3.10.3 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in nltk.pathsec.urlopen (and callers nltk.data.load, nltk.downloader.Downloader.index/download) when an HTTP proxy is configured. pathsec.urlopen validates the requested hostname locally, but proxy-handler inheritance disables the safe HTTP/HTTPS handlers so the actual fetch is performed by the proxy against a destination that is never re-validated. An attacker can supply a validated public URL that the proxy forwards to an internal loopback-only service, allowing disclosure of internal HTTP resources, loading of forged downloader indexes, and installation of attacker-chosen package content.

CVEID: CVE-2021-41270
DESCRIPTION: Symfony/Serializer handles serializing and deserializing data structures for Symfony, a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Symfony versions 4.1.0 before 4.4.35 and versions 5.0.0 before 5.3.12 are vulnerable to CSV injection, also known as formula injection. In Symfony 4.1, maintainers added the opt-in `csv_escape_formulas` option in the `CsvEncoder`, to prefix all cells starting with `=`, `+`, `-` or `@` with a tab `\t`. Since then, OWASP added 2 chars in that list: Tab (0x09) and Carriage return (0x0D). This makes the previous prefix char (Tab `\t`) part of the vulnerable characters, and OWASP suggests using the single quote `'` for prefixing the value. Starting with versions 4.4.34 and 5.3.12, Symfony now follows the OWASP recommendations and uses the single quote `'` to prefix formulas and add the prefix to cells starting by `\t`, `\r` as well as `=`, `+`, `-` and `@`.

DESCRIPTION: nltk PorterStemmer in versions = 3.10.2 (fixed in 3.10.3) contains an inefficient-algorithmic-complexity denial of service in PorterStemmer.stem(). The _is_consonant() helper walks backward over the entire run of trailing 'y' characters on every call, and _measure() invokes it for each stem position, causing O(n^2) behavior. A single ~20-50 KB untrusted token consisting of a long run of the letter 'y' followed by a matching suffix (e.g., 'ness') can pin a CPU core for seconds to minutes, causing availability impact.

DESCRIPTION: pnpm expands ${...} environment-variable placeholders in the httpProxy, httpsProxy, noProxy, proxy and noproxy settings when those settings come from a project's pnpm-workspace.yaml, which is repository-controlled and therefore untrusted. getOptionsFromPnpmSettings guarded only the registry field via REQUEST_DESTINATION_SCALAR_KEYS, so a malicious repository can route install requests through an attacker-controlled proxy whose URL embeds an environment secret and exfiltrate it before any lifecycle script runs (--ignore-scripts is no defence).
