Security Bulletin
Summary
IBM Cyber Fraud includes components with known vulnerabilities. These have been addressed in release 1.1.0.
Vulnerability Details
CVEID: CVE-2026-9825
DESCRIPTION: IBM Cyberfraud has a missing secure attribute allowing sensitive cookies to be transmitted over unencrypted connections, potentially enabling an attacker to intercept session data through network-based attacks.
CWE: CWE-617: Reachable Assertion
CVSS Source: IBM
CVSS Base score: 3.7
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N)
CVEID: CVE-2026-75838
DESCRIPTION: DOMPurify before 3.4.13 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in IN_PLACE sanitization where element-removal hooks fail to neutralize detached subtrees. Attackers can supply HTML with event handlers on descendant elements that execute after sanitization completes, even though the returned root appears clean.
CWE: CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVSS Source: disclosure@vulncheck.com
CVSS Base score: 5.1
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N/E:X/CR:X/IR:X/AR:X/MAV:X/MAC:X/MAT:X/MPR:X/MUI:X/MVC:X/MVI:X/MVA:X/MSC:X/MSI:X/MSA:X/S:X/AU:X/R:X/V:X/RE:X/U:X)
CVEID: CVE-2026-87776
DESCRIPTION: compression is a Node.js and Express compression middleware. In versions before 1.8.2, when a client aborts the connection while a compressed response is still being sent, the zlib stream created to compress that response is never destroyed, so each aborted compressed response leaks its native zlib memory. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly open requests and disconnect early, exhausting the available memory and crashing the server. All applications using compression are affected. The issue is fixed in compression 1.8.2, and users should upgrade to 1.8.2 or later.
CWE: CWE-401: Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime
CVSS Source: openjs
CVSS Base score: 7.5
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-33747
DESCRIPTION: BuildKit is a toolkit for converting source code to build artifacts in an efficient, expressive and repeatable manner. Prior to version 0.28.1, when using a custom BuildKit frontend, the frontend can craft an API message that causes files to be written outside of the BuildKit state directory for the execution context. The issue has been fixed in v0.28.1. The vulnerability requires using an untrusted BuildKit frontend set with `#syntax` or `--build-arg BUILDKIT_SYNTAX`. Using these options with a well-known frontend image like `docker/dockerfile` is not affected.
CWE: CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVSS Source: NVD
CVSS Base score: 9.8
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)
CVEID: CVE-2026-45570
DESCRIPTION: go-git is an extensible git implementation library written in pure Go. Prior to 5.19.1 and 6.0.0-alpha.4, go-git's SSH transport constructs the remote exec command by wrapping the repository path in single quotes without escaping single quotes embedded inside the path. A repository path containing a single quote can therefore break out of the quoted region in the exec command and be appended as additional shell tokens. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.19.1 and 6.0.0-alpha.4.
CWE: CWE-116: Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output
CVSS Source: NVD
CVSS Base score: 9.6
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H)
ID: CVE-2026-87800
DESCRIPTION: CyberFraud could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to unrestricted upload of a file with a dangerous type.
CWE: CWE-434: Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type
CVSS Source: IBM
CVSS Base score: 6.8
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N)

Disclaimer
According to the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) is an "industry open standard designed to convey vulnerability severity and help to determine urgency and priority of response." IBM PROVIDES THE CVSS SCORES ""AS IS"" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF ANY ACTUAL OR POTENTIAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY. In addition to other efforts to address potential vulnerabilities, IBM periodically updates the record of components contained in our product offerings. As part of that effort, if IBM identifies previously unidentified packages in a product/service inventory, we address relevant vulnerabilities regardless of CVE date. Inclusion of an older CVEID does not demonstrate that the referenced product has been used by IBM since that date, nor that IBM was aware of a vulnerability as of that date. We are making clients aware of relevant vulnerabilities as we become aware of them. "Affected Products and Versions" referenced in IBM Security Bulletins are intended to be only products and versions that are supported by IBM and have not passed their end-of-support or warranty date. Thus, failure to reference unsupported or extended-support products and versions in this Security Bulletin does not constitute a determination by IBM that they are unaffected by the vulnerability. Reference to one or more unsupported versions in this Security Bulletin shall not create an obligation for IBM to provide fixes for any unsupported or extended-support products or versions.
